How Lucas Got His Magic Powers

Here is a picture that I did of my newest "T.U.F.F. Puppy" character, Lucas McSquirrely, getting his magic powers that he receives from an old magician whom he was able to save from drowning in a river. After being able to draw a picture of Lucas as a way of introducing him for the first time, I was in the mood for drawing a few pictures involving my new character and how he's able to play a role in the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" universe after being able to make him so unique and appealing. For this picture I've done, I was able to draw a scene based on a story idea that was on my mind when I first created Lucas, which shows the magician (who is portrayed as a dove because of them being a type of animal that is often used for magic acts) being so grateful to Lucas for saving his life that he decides to repay him by casting a magic spell upon him that grants him the ability to summon anything magically as if by luck, which he's able to keep from then on; One interesting thing that I'd like to share with everyone is that some of the inspiration for such a concept actually came from a character called Woozy Winks from the original "Plastic Man" comic book stories that I remember checking out at the library, in which Woozy was a simple man who gains magic powers after saving an old sorcerer that he saves from drowning in a lake/pond, and I figured that such a concept would be quite suitable for one of my newest characters in the cartoony world of "T.U.F.F. Puppy". As I was coloring the picture in, I decided to use simple scenery for the background (mainly because I'm not able to draw scenery in the same cartoon style as Butch Hartman), and I was able to use a couple of different colored textures for the scenery. The picture turned out very nice, and it's sure to please my friends and everyone else nonetheless.
