Mickey and Oswald by CaseyDecker Mickey and Oswald by CaseyDecker
Here is a picture that did of Mickey Mouse and Oswald The Lucky Rabbit in my original cartoon style. I was definitely in the mood for drawing a picture of these two characters together after playing "Disney Epic Mickey" on the Nintendo Wii, and this picture happens to be my first attempt at drawing them on my own. As everyone would probably know by now, Oswald was Walt Disney's first cartoon character that he created when he did a series of cartoon shorts for Universal Studios. Disney ended up losing the rights to his character after working on his own, but he was then able to create Mickey Mouse, who would become one of the greatest cartoon stars of all time. In the events of the game "Disney Epic Mickey", Mickey would end up in the Wasteland, which is a world that is inhabited by forgotten cartoon characters, and Oswald happens to be the ruler of it, since he was one of the first characters to be forgotten. Oswald has actually become bitterly jealous of Mickey's success, but he was then able to warm up towards Mickey as they worked together to save the Wasteland from The Shadow Blot and The Mad Doctor. As I was drawing this picture, I tried to make both characters look just right while using my cartoon style, and I was able to use a colorful texture for the background while coloring it in. The picture turned out very nice after being completed, and I hope that everyone else will like it as well.

Well, thank you very much for saying so nonetheless. Oswald was, indeed, Walt Disney's first original character that he did before Mickey Mouse, and a very unique story of him is featured in the game "Disney Epic Mickey" on the Nintendo Wii. :D

Yeah, I actually like to tell everyone about characters that not many people seem to recognize, including the characters from my favorite comic book series "Usagi Yojimbo", which I first checked out a couple of years ago to this day and it's been my favorite series to read. :D

I actually have heard of the comic a long time before I checked it out myself, but my first time seeing the main character of the series, Miyamoto Usagi, was actually on a couple of episodes of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", and I remember the action figure of him released as well. :D

I couldn't play the first game - but I like the sequel - even though people say it isn't as good as Epic

Really? Well, I actually got the sequel on the Nintendo Wii for Christmas recently, but I haven't been able to try it out yet. I was holding off on playing it until after I got far enough in my copy of "The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess", which I bought in 2011 and decided to hold off on playing it until I got a new TV last May. I started playing that game sometime after New Year's Day recently, and it was actually more challenging to play than "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" on the Nintendo 64 (which was a Zelda game that I thought was boring but wasn't really after giving it a second chance).

I liked the Zelda games on the N64 - so much so I got the reboot for Gamecube. Although Windwaker - looked pretty and was fun - but got kind of boring with the pictures and all

I actually thought "The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker" on the Gamecube was such a fairly good game to play in the series. I got incredibly far until I couldn't figure out how to gain access to the final part where you have to collect something called the Triumph Forks, and I haven't been able to continue without having to look up FAQs for it on the internet. One thing that I do know about the game's ending, though, is that we actually get to see Link stab Ganondorf in the face with the Master Sword.

Interesting - I never got that far. I gave up trying to get the little figurines and my ADHD kicked in and I moved to something else. I have gotten better in that regard

Well - mostly it is minor - but sometimes my attention span gets shot - and once in a while I cannot concentrate on anything

I've always seen them as brothers, since Walt created Oswald first but sadly, lost him for a while.

Thank you very much for saying so, man! Yeah, I agree with you on this topic as well; Because they were both made by the same creator, that actually would make Mickey and Oswald brothers. :D

Totally awesome, man!!

I'm sad that Oswald was never as well-known as Mickey. Maybe, he'll be dug out of obscurity and becomes pretty well-known. ;)

Thank you very much for saying so, man! Oswald has actually become quite an appealing character after seeing him in the game "Disney Epic Mickey", and I also like how they got cartoon voice actor Frank Welker to do the voice of him as well! :D

Well, it's a great game to check out, and it's definitely worth owning if you have a Nintendo Wii! The gameplay is pretty solid, the storyline is truly epic (hence the title), and there's so much nostalgia in the game that it's is sure to please Disney cartoon fans young and old! :D
