Naam and Melissa - Birthday Gals In Socks

Here is a picture that I did as a birthday gift for my good friend : A birthday-themed picture of his original characters, a flying squirrel named Naam Jhyia and a raccoon dog named Melissa Kasato, posing together with their shoes taken off while Naam is seen holding up a birthday cake. After realizing that my friend's birthday was coming up this month, I decided to take the opportunity to draw a picture that I would be able to post in time for this birthday, and I was also in the mood for drawing a picture involving any of his characters in my original cartoon style as well. For this picture I've done, I was able to draw Naam and Melissa in their usual outfits that they would normally wear, except they have their shoes removed with their socks kept on, especially because I happen to be the kind of guy who is a real sucker for cute gals with socks on their feet, and I don't actually care that much for what I'd like to call "naked feet" unless their covered in fur. As I was coloring the picture in, I was able to use a dark blue texture for the background, and I decided to fill up much of the empty space by adding white stars in different sizes. The picture turned out very nice after being completed, and I just know that my friend will love it no matter what.
