Regretful Thoughts

Journal Entry: Tue Jan 26, 2016, 9:54 AM
As everyone may already know, my birthday is practically coming up in just a couple of days, but I've been dealing with some negative feelings about myself just recently. A couple of friends of mine were able to post a couple of pictures as early birthday gifts for me recently, which was very nice and thoughtful of them, but I ended up commenting them in a way that some people have considered my comments to be considered to be kind or rude, even though I would never try to sound rude in any way. One such picture is this one that was done by Gabrielianthenook:

[BrithDay Gift] Caseys Fabulous Gift by Gabrielianthenook

After being able to check it out recently, I didn't exactly know how to react because it was a picture involving characters from "Undertale", a PC game that has become quite popular for some time, but I've never being able to play the game myself, so I was completely unfamiliar with characters for that reason. When I commented about hoping for something that would be a little more suitable to my taste (again, without even trying to sound rude in any way), everyone else who was able check the picture out suddenly got onto me by calling me ungrateful and/or picky. If there's one thing that I cannot stand at all, it's being called ungrateful because that's unnecessarily hurtful and untrue; Believe me, I was trying to sound ungrateful, I would have threated him by saying something like "I hate this picture! Either you make a new picture for me, or I'll do something bad like kill you!" Well, guess what? I didn't even say anything like to him at all! Besides, it's not a bad picture in any way (especially since it's a picture featuring my fursona), and I should really tell him that I appreciate him being able to draw something in time for my birthday nonetheless, which has now made me feel like the kind of bad person that I never wanted to be in the first place.

I guess the reason that some people have seen me as being rude is because of how stubborn I tend to be whenever nothing goes exactly as I had hoped, which always tends to put me in a moody state until start to feel better about myself again. I may have mentioned this to everyone quite a few times, but I have a mild case of autism that makes it kind of hard to socialize with everyone, and it also affects my life by always having to rely on a routine every single day, making it really hard for me to accept change unless I'm already prepared for it or I'm the one who does the changes myself; This sort of thing also tends to affect how I behave whenever I receive a certain type of gift that I was expecting from somebody, only to find out that it was something else that I never really expected to receive, and I end up saying something stupid yet optimistic in which everyone thinks I'm trying to sound rude (but I'm not). It's moments like that which make it rather difficult for anyone else to truly understand how I'm trying to feel without even breaking everyone's feelings, and I just wish that everything would just turn out perfectly all the time without me having to feel this way every once in a while. I know it may be completely unnecessary for me to behave like a kid, but some things just never change on the inside for a guy of my condition, and I've already been through enough trouble just trying to act so "mature" while also just being myself in the process. If everyone is going to think of me as being the kind of guy who doesn't always appreciate everything, then I might not have any choice but to kill myself if that's how it's gonna be....unless everyone else can prove that I really am a good person who has so much to live for, and I won't have to feel so unhappy about my own confusing life.

MY TEN QUESTIONS TO ANSWER:

I have three pet dogs - A Parson Russel terrier named Annie, A pug named Kami, and a chi-weenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund-mix) named Gypsy.

2. What's your zodiac sign?
Because I was born on January 28, my zodiac sign is Aquarius.

3. If you could meet a Sonic character in RL who would be?
I would probably have to say Amy Rose because I've always found her to be such a cute character, especially with her undeniable passion for Sonic that makes her quite unique ever since her debut in "Sonic CD" (though my first time seeing Amy was actually from her appearance in "Sonic Adventure").

4. Coke or Pepsi?
Believe it or not, I actually prefer Pepsi over Coke, and I don't usually drink Coke unless it has flavor mixed in with it, such as cherry and/or vanilla. =P

5. There's a monster coming in your direction. Look at the side and pick a thing. Tell me what will be your weapon?
I would probably have to go with my lamp, which has a kind of unique shape that makes it suitable for using as a clobbering weapon. ;)

6. Do you like cats? :3
Of course, I like cats, and there are even times in which I prefer them over dogs (and vice versa). :meow:

I would probably have to say "easy-going" (even if it does count as two words). :)

My Upcoming Birthday

Journal Entry: Wed Jan 6, 2016, 1:52 PM
Because of it being a new year for me and everyone else here on DeviantArt, I was in the mood for updating my journal entries by installing a new skin, which I decided to choose based on Sonic The Hedgehog because of this year being the 25th Anniversary of the Blue Blur. Speaking of which, this year also happens to mark my 30th birthday, which will be taking place on January 28. Even though I may be getting older as time passes, I'll probably still be a kid at heart until the day I die, especially since I've always been rather different due to me being the only person in my family with a mild case of autism, thus making it kind of hard for anyone else to understand me completely, and I also tend to behave more like a kid instead of the kind of adult that is considered "mature" to some people. In case anybody is wondering, I actually do know how to live independently on my own and take good care of myself, so I'm not completely hopeless except when it comes to asking for something from somebody. Anyway, I'm actually hoping that some of my friends will be able to help celebrate my birthday by doing some gift art for me just like last year, and I'm more than willing to give some ideas for some of my friends who are planning to draw something for my birthday as well. Other than that, I just hope that my birthday will turn out to be quite nice, and that I'll be in a much more optimistic mood by January 28. Thank you, and happy drawing!

Emotional During The Holidays

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 29, 2015, 11:46 AM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

Because of the holiday season coming to a close for this year, I feel like wanting to let everyone know how I've been feeling lately. Normally, I would usually feel happy and pleased after Christmas comes and goes like I do every other year, but this year is kind of different for me, and it's even put me in a deep blue funk. For example, I expected the weather to be pleasantly cool where I live in Indiana around this time of year, but instead it ended up being unseasonably warm all week, even though it did cool off a little on Christmas Day; Not too mention we had quite a few thunderstorms with heavy rain not too long ago, and I even heard that parts of Texas were also hit by tornadoes. In a way, the warm weather kinda ruined the holiday season for everyone who expected snow in the Midwest.

Another thing that bothered me about Christmas this year was the fact that I didn't get exactly what I wanted for Christmas, which made me feel rather discouraged, since I tend to get my hopes up whenever I tell my family exactly what I want only to end up getting something different. In case anybody's wondering, the things that I was able to get for Christmas this year include: A copy of "Mario Party 10" with a Mario Amiibo, $100, a couple pairs of blue jeans, a couple of t-shirts that don't actually fit me (which means I'd have to take them back), and a season pass for a local theme park called Holiday World. Even though some of these gifts I got this year were really great, what I really hoped to get for Christmas this year was a Blu-ray copy of the movie "Pixels" and some other Mario game on the Nintendo Wii U that I asked for such as "Mario Kart 8" and/or "Super Mario Maker". Now, I could use the $100 that I received to buy any of the things that I didn't get, but I feel it wouldn't quite be the same as getting what I wanted for Christmas, since I would probably save the money for something bigger (like a new TV), and I even felt negatively about the season pass that my sister bought for me, which also counts as a gift for my 30th birthday coming up next month (January 28).

As a result of my negative attitude, I even expressed somewhat negatively about a picture that was done by my good friend shinragod as part of his "Twelve Requests Of Christmas" project, in which he was even kind enough to include me as well:

12 Days for Caseydecker by shinragod

Even though this is such a nice and sweet picture that he did featuring my Team Shinobi girls (Hayai Bunny, Whitnee Squirrel, and Shizu Siam), I kind of expected them to be doing something different than I had hoped, especially because of not many people being able to draw pictures involving my "T.U.F.F. Puppy" characters in any clever situations, and I feel really bad about the way I judged the picture that he did for me after checking it out for the first time. One thing's for sure, I should really be thankful that he would be able to take his time to draw something for a troubled guy like me, and I really do try my best to be on his good side like everyone else I know. I don't want him to be discouraged by my negative feelings recently, and I would definitely like to repay him in any possible way as well.

As I'm posting this journal entry, I also learned that my best friend Sillkung will be deactivating her DA account soon, which has made me feel quite uncomfortable because I totally did not expect this sort of thing to happen after taking a break not too long ago. Even though I will still be in touch with her on FurAffinity and Skype, it wouldn't exactly be the same on DeviantArt without her, and I think I should also close down the "Sabina+Akai" group that I created with her whenever she does leave, since I did include her as a co-founder after all. I'm actually hoping that she'll be able to read this journal by the time she leaves, and I just want her to know how much I really do love her, and she'll always have a special place in my heart.

My Plans For Christmas Eve

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 20, 2015, 1:15 PM

Now that I have all my Christmas-themed requests completed and posted here on DeviantArt, I can try to work on the last few pictures that I plan on posting for Christmas this year. In the meantime, though, I though I'd like to discuss what I plan on doing for Christmas Eve this Thursday. Normally, my family would be able to have a get-together on the day before Christmas, but because my sister will actually be going to her boyfriend's family this year, we won't be able to do much this time. And so, I've decided that I would like to video chat with some of my friends on Skype and/or invite some friends over to my hometown in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" on Christmas Eve (AKA Toy Day) in case nothing special happens for me. If anybody I know has a Skype account or a 3DS Friend Code (with or without a copy of ACNL) they'd like to share with me, then please feel free to let me know in any possible way. Thank you, and Happy Holidays!

Twelve Requests Of Christmas III - COMPLETE

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 28, 2015, 1:02 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

As everyone may already know by now, Thanksgiving has officially come to a close for this year, and it won't be long until it's time to start celebrating Christmas once again. Despite the last couple of journal entries that I was able to post while dealing with some emotional issues at the time, I have been starting to feel much better about myself for now, and I've also decided to go ahead and start accepting ideas for requests/gifts for twelve of my friends on DeviantArt as part of my annual "Twelve Requests Of Christmas" project. Last year when I did such a project, I was able to choose twelve of my friends that I wanted to draw pictures for as gifts that I would be able to post in time for Christmas; This year, however, I've decided to go with the first twelve people who are able to let me know what to draw for them, and I'll even update my journal regularly as well. If I'm unable to get twelve people to participate, I'll just pick whichever of my friends that I decide to draw pictures for in order to fill up the remaining spots on the list. Thank you, and happy drawing!

RULES FOR REQUESTS:

1. Only one request per person.
2. No simple comments like "I'd like to ask for a request" without letting me know what you'd want me to draw in the comment that's posted.
3. Multiple suggestions for each request are welcome.
4. When asking me to draw a picture involving an original character that I haven't drawn before, please provide a reference image of that character I could use.
5. Preferred maximum number of characters per request will be up to three or four, depending on how many characters I can fit in a single drawing.
6. No fetish-themed pictures such as paws, bondage, etc. (unless it's something holiday-related).
7. No human OCs or Ponies, please.
8. If you'd like to remain anonymous when asking me to draw a picture, then please feel free to send me a note.

Current Feelings About Sonic

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 14, 2015, 11:33 AM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

After being able to check out a rant journal entry posted by my good friend TheDogwhitaTail just recently, I've decided to do the same thing involving something similar that was on my mind. As everyone may already know, the last couple of Sonic games that have come out were the ones based on the "Sonic Boom" cartoon series on Cartoon Network - "Sonic Boom: The Rise Of Lyric" on the Nintendo Wii U, and "Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal" on the Nintendo 3DS - and everyone claims that they suck because of them being poorly designed and full of glitches almost like that of the infamous "Sonic The Hedgehog" on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (AKA "Sonic '06"). In case anybody is wondering, I've never been able to play either of those games despite how big of a Sonic fan I am, so I haven't been able to see them for myself except from a couple of video game reviews that I remember checking out on YouTube. But even so, it seems that everyone can't shut up about it, especially to the point where they claim that Sonic isn't a great video game hero anymore just because of these two particular games that have come out not too long ago.

Now, I'm not trying to defend Sonic just like I did eight years ago when trying to prove that the games he appeared in are still awesome to play (Heck, I even tried to defend "Sonic '06" until I actually played it for myself), but there's a reason why I can't stand hearing negative opinions about things that I truly enjoy... Those kind of opinions always tend to be hurtful towards those who are optimistic such as myself, and I end up believing that I can no longer enjoy what is being critized just because everyone else says so. This sort of thing also applies with how the Sonic games are being released today; Even though 2006 was kind of a lousy year for Sonic fans with most of the games being let-downs for anyone expecting something fun and/or enjoyable, it seems that Sega and Sonic Team were able to learn from their mistakes and make newer games that are a lot better to play, starting with "Sonic Unleashed" back in 2008 (which was kind of a slow start, but it's still a great game nonetheless). But then the "Sonic Boom" games come out a year ago, and what I hear from everyone who play them is something like "Oh, look! This new Sonic game is full of bugs and glitches! I guess that means Sonic is a terrible video game series now, AND NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO LIKE SONIC ANYMORE!!!"

See what I mean? I know it's kind of a drastic exaggeration, but I just wanted to prove a point about how such an negative attitude towards anyone can be both hurtful and unnecessary. I can understand there are quite a few bad games that the Blue Blur had appeared in over the years, even since the days of the Sega Saturn (which was also a lousy time for Sonic due to the cancellation of the promising title "Sonic X-Treme"), but that doesn't exactly mean that there weren't any good Sonic games that had come out over the years because there actually were, and it all depended on the people who developed each game as well. In this dude's case, the game companies that developed the Sonic games worth playing were usually Sega and/or Sonic Team, who were resposible for making the series quite appealing over the years. As for both "Sonic Boom" games, I recently found out that neither game were actually developed by Sega or Sonic Team, even though they were both published by Sega; For that reason, I wouldn't exactly consider either of the games to be classified as true Sonic games because they were developed by the wrong company, and they're also played rather differently as well (so I've heard, anyway).

Speaking of which, if there's two Sonic games that I think everyone should hate that are a lot worse to play than any of the other games I mentioned in my joural entry, it would have to be these following two titles that not many people even talk about for some odd reason: "Sonic Spinball" on the Sega Game Gear, and "Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis" on the Game Boy Advance. Without a doubt, both of these games are truly terrible to play because they were poorly-designed ports of existing games that were already fun and enjoyable, and they ended up being butchered in terms of quality - "Sonic Spinball" was a tad slower than its Genesis counterpart with sluggish controls, buggy graphics, and terrible sound; "Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis" was just a GBA port of the original Genesis game that suffered from a lot of slowdown and loose controls that made the game practically unplayable, even to die-hard Sonic fans who grew up with the series from the beginning.

I'm sorry if I'm able to upset anyone who was able to take their time when reading this journal entry, but I just felt like getting this sort of thing off my chest after hearing all kinds of negative opinions about one of my most favorite video game heroes some time ago, especially after being able to play "Sonic Lost World" on my Nintendo Wii U recently, which actually turned out to be an awesome game despite some of the gameplay changes to make it more original such as holding down one of the buttons to make Sonic run faster. Anyway, the point is that people shouldn't be able to judge certain things so harshly or even use bad games as an excuse to get everyone to stop liking video game series that everyone else still enjoy for whatever reason. And since next year will officially mark the 25th Anniversary of the Blue Blur, I decided to post my current thoughts about the franchise, and I certainly hope that Sega and Sonic Team will be able to make a really good game in time for Sonic's 25th birthday on June 23, which will definitely be a huge celebration for all Sonic fans for sure. I haven't heard any news about such a game, but one can only hope that it would be something like "Sonic Generations", which was a truly awesome game to play, and they seriously need to make more games just like that if they want to keep the series going till the end of time. 'Nuff said.

Feeling Tired And Uninspired...

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 6, 2015, 11:29 AM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

In case anybody is curious to know what I've been up to lately and why I haven't been active on here that much recently, I think I should let everyone know that I have been taking a break from posting my newest cartoon artwork on DeviantArt at the moment. After being able to post my last couple of pictures on here not too long ago, I've been feeling a little burnt trying to come up with some newer ideas of what to draw, which actually happened sometime after I completed my Halloween-themed pictures that I was able to post in time for Halloween this year, since a couple of those pictures took longer for me to complete, and I just didn't have enough time or inspiration to work on any other new pictures to post for this week as a result. I have been able to work on a couple of new drawings just recently that I'll be coloring in soon, but I don't really know what else to draw at the moment, and I was kind of hoping that some of my friends would even be able to give me some suggestions for ideas whenever I'm unable to come up with anything new on my own. So far, I've been in the mood for drawing more pictures involving "T.U.F.F. Puppy" fan characters, so maybe I should try to draw a set of pictures based on such a theme until I become inspired to draw anything else soon.

Speaking of which, I am also aware that Christmas is already coming this year, which means I'll be kind of busy trying to focus on what to get for my friends and family for the holidays like I do every year, and I'll even be working on some Christmas-themed pictures shortly after Thanksgiving as well. Even though I usually hold my "12 Requests Of Christmas" art project as a way of accepting ideas for pictures that I would draw for twelve of my friends during the Christmas season, I'm not exactly sure about wanting to do a similar project for this year, mainly because I felt that last year was kind of a letdown for me. I actually had no trouble drawing the pictures that my friends wanted me to draw for them, and I was even able to complete all my pictures in time for the holiday season, but the reason for me feeling unhappy after last year was because I ended up being left out of a similar Christmas-themed project that one of my friends was holding that involved him being able to draw twelve requests for everyone, and I was much too late to participate by the time I learned about it. This actually upset me greatly because some of my other friends who were lucky enough to get a picture from him were also those whom I was able to draw Christmas-themed requests for as well, and I felt like I should have also gotten something from him in return after making him one of the twelve artists that I chose to draw a Christmas-themed request for that year. As a result, I was practically mocked at and called 'loser' just because I didn't praticipate in my friend's project in time, which has been bothering me for quite some time for that reason alone. Now, I can understand that it's never good to focus on such feelings that would make me so unhappy, but I just wanted everything to turn out alright for me without me being treated like Charlie Brown all the time. If I'm going to continue drawing cartoons for a living (whether or not I actually get paid for my efforts), I'd really appeciate the support after I'm able to do the same for everyone else I know, and I do not wish to be sad and/or unhappy in a way that affects my mood to draw ever again.

New 3DS Friend Code

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 18, 2015, 9:02 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

I have decided to post this quick journal entry to let all my friends know that I have a new 3DS Friend Code that I'd like to share after being able to format my system just recently, and I was even able to send invites to all of my friends with Friend Codes that I had before so that I can re-add them to my Friend List. The reason for this unexpected change is because I was having problems trying to link my Nintendo Network account that I had created after setting up my Nintendo WiiU last year so that I can share my account on my 3DS and have access to certain features like the Nintendo eShop. In case anybody's wondering, nobody was able to take over my account in any way, so please don't be alarmed if you think there's two of me, since the original Friend Code that I used will no longer work. If anyone is still interested in exchanging Friend Codes with me, my new one is:

4614 - 0116 - 5483

If anyone else wants to add me to their WiiU Friend List, please feel free to send me a note so I can share my username privately with you just to be on the safe side. :thanks:

MY QUESTIONS TO ANSWER

1. Have you ever been to Orlando, Florida at least once in your life?
No, and I probably never will unless there's somebody nice enough to take me to where I want to go, even if I can afford it myself.

2. Favorite Kaiju monster?
I don't know what that is, so I'm going to have to pass...

3. Which boss fight would you rather fight against? Jasper Batt, Jr. from "No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle," or Flame Hyenard from "Megaman X7"?
I would probably have to say Jasper Batt, Jr., mainly because of most human characters in the newer video games kinda suck IMO.

4. Have you ever gotten in trouble for something you didn't do?
Yes, I ended up losing my job at Dairy Queen for touching someone inapporpriately back in 2007, which I had absolutely nothing to do with at all, especially because I had such a lousy supervisor who, coincidentally, was fired sometime after that.

5. Besides Kitty/Kiara, who's your favorite Qittaswell Sister (If your OC's in the troupe, don't pick her)?
I would probably have to say either Malmsteen or Cassidy.

6. What do you think about my TUFF series "Team Katswell"?
It's pretty much okay, although I am not quite used to how Dudley is portrayed as being a dopey sidekick (a la Ron Stoppable from "Kim Possible") when I've personally found him to be much more appealing as just a big-hearted hero who always helps Kitty.

7. Whose side are you on in the Civil War - Captain America or Iron Man?
I would probably have to say Iron Man despite the fact that he's considered evil in the Marvel Civil War, which I find hard to believe because I've always found him to be my personal favorite member of the Avengers.

8. Who sang "Let it Go" better - Elsa or Luna?
I don't really know who Luna is, so I'd probably have to say Elsa for sure.

9. Pancakes or Waffles?
I actually like both, depending on what I'm in the mood for eating.

10. When you were a little kid, did you think that monsters were lurking underneath your bed?
No, I wasn't actually afraid of any monsters under my bed when I was a kid, but I did think there were rattlesnakes were under my bed for some odd reason, and I absolutely HATE rattlesnakes.

11. What toppings do you like to have on your pizzas?
I've always prefered both sausage and pepperoni on my pizza, and I don't usually eat pizza with just one of those toppings for that reason.

12. Have you entered to win a car or motorcycle at your local mall (even for your parents)?
No, I've never been to the mall that many times in my life, and I'm not exactly a person who is into motor vehicles that much, considering the fact that I don't have a driver's license at all.

13. Was there a movie you REALLY wanted to see, and once you saw it, you felt VERY disappointed with it?
I would probably have to say "Epic Movie", which I assumed would be just as funny as "Scary Movie 3", but it didn't feature any good celebrities that I know who appeared in the movie, so it was pretty much a let-down despite the number of recognizable movie references that were featured.

MY QUESTIONS TO ASK:
1. Have you ever been to Indiana at least once in your life?
2. Which type of roller coaster do you prefer more: Wooden or Steel?
3. What is your favorite sport that you like to play, if any?
4. Which of the following foods do you like to eat most: Burgers or Pizza?
5. What is your favorite beat-em-up game (NOT one-on-one fighting game) that you like to play, if any?
6. Have you ever rode on a water-slide before?
7. What is your most favorite season of the year?
8. What are your thoughts about country music?
9. What are your favorite foods that you like to eat with barbeque sauce, if any?
10. When riding a carousel, do you always prefer to ride on a horse or some other kind of animal?
11. Which type of starter Pokemon do you often pick: Grass, Fire, or Water?
12. Which of the original twelve playable characters in the "Super Smash Bros." games as always been your favorite to play as?
13. Excluding Whitnee, which of my Team Shinobi hero characters do you like most and why?

DeviantArtist Questionairre

Journal Entry: Fri Aug 7, 2015, 11:40 AM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

Because I've noticed quite a few of my friends doing this sort of thing as part of DeviantArt's 15th Birthday this year, I have decided to go ahead and do it myself while also taking a short break from posting newer artwork, especially since I'll actually be going to my cousin's wedding this weekend. Thank you, and enjoy!

DeviantArtist Questionnaire

1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I've actually been a user on DA for six years, but the account I am currently using was created in late-2010 slash early-2011 after my original account ('casey64') was hacked into and deactivated by someone who hated me for some unnessecary reason.

2. What does your username mean?
It is basically my first name and last name put together so that my friends and watchers may be able to recognize me after what had happened to my original account.

3. Describe yourself in three words.
Shy. Friendly. Outgoing.

4. Are you left or right handed?
Like most people I know, I am right-handed.

5. What was your first deviation?
Whitnee Squirrel by CaseyDecker

6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
I absolutely love to draw pictures involving anthro animal characters as well as fan art pictures based on cartoons, video games, etc. that I enjoy so very much.

7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I would definitely have to say my ability to draw comic strips really well, even though I am just starting to get much better at it.

8. What was your first favourite?
Xycole's Daisy by TheRealSneakers

9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
I usually favorite artwork that involves female anthro characters who are usually cute and/or sexy in some way (especially if there are outfits with long socks involved).

10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
I would probably have to say :iconshinragod: because he does a really nice and impressive job drawing anthro characters in his original style as well as characters from "Sly Cooper" and "T.U.F.F. Puppy", which does tend to make me feel inspired to help me come up with creative ideas of my own.

11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I would definitely have to say :iconsillkung: because she happens to be my best friend that I was able to first meet on DA back in 2010, and I love to chat with her as much as possible whenever I get the chance as well.

12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Quite a few of my friends on DA were able to show their support and help me come up with many original ideas for what to draw, which has helped me continue doing what I love most while trying to become more open to drawing cartoons as a way of entertaining everyone I know.

13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
Paper, pencils, pens, a scanner, and a picture-editing program like 'Paint Shop Pro X'.

14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I would probably say a theme park in Indiana called Holiday World, which is not too far away from where I live (by 20 miles, I might add), and I usually feel quite inspired to get some new ideas of what I'm in the mood to draw after going on some of the rides as well.

15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
It's kind of hard for me to decide, but I would probably have to say the time that I got 50+ favs on a picture that I did of Felicia in her Midnight Bliss form in less than a day after it was posted, which definitely surprised me while I was checking my messages, proving that many people really do love what I'm able to draw all the time.

Inspiration Slowly Recovering

Journal Entry: Mon Jul 27, 2015, 1:57 PM

In case anybody is wondering how I've been feeling lately since my last journal entry that was posted, I have decided to let everyone know that I am actually starting to feel a little better at the moment, and I've also started to feel a bit more inspired to continue drawing once again. First of all, I am truly sorry if I've upset anyone about what I posted in my last journal entry (most notably when I mentioned about getting the urge to leave DeviantArt), but I'm sure that my friends would understand that I could never hurt anyone's feelings on purpose, especially when I end up taking my negative feelings out on myself just like I did not too long ago. I guess the reason that I've been feeling so confused and uninspired lately is because I was actually taking care of some personal things of my own, which has been rather stressful on my mind, thus making it kind of hard to focus on what to draw as well.

Just recently, I have decided to get some internet for my home so that I won't have to go someplace that has a wireless internet access such as a restaurant or the local library, in which I'd have to walk around on foot just to get around from place to place unless I'm able to get a ride from somebody, and it's even more troublesome having to go somewhere whenever it's extremely hot and/or rainy outside. Even though I could have gotten internet service some time ago, I wasn't exactly sure if I was able to get it on my own at first because I would need some kind of proof of credit in order to do so, and I don't even use (or own) a credit card at all; Instead, I was able to get a form in the mail that I'd have to notorize and send a fax to the internet provider, which also required a bit of unnecessary waiting in the process. As I'm posting this journal entry, I have yet to get connected because I also had to wait for a wireless modem to get sent to me via mail delivery. One thing's for sure, though, I will start to feel much better when I finally get some internet for my home once again so that I can keep in touch with my friends and family on Facebook as well as Skype, and I'd also be able to play most of the games for my Xbox 360 and Nintendo WiiU that require internet access just to play properly.

As for my inspiration, I was feeling much more inspired after going out to see the new movie "Pixels" in theaters this weekend, and it was definitely a good sci-fi/comedy movie involving aliens trying to conquer the world using pixeled sprites from many popular old-school video games from the 1980s, which was also a kind of clever concept that's sure to please many gamers who still enjoy playing those kind of games as well. As I've mentioned quite a few times before, much of the inspiration for my artwork usually comes from the cartoons and video games that I enjoy, and this movie was able to put me in a good mood despite the blue funk I've been dealing with some time ago, and I'm sure that I'll be starting to feel like my optimistic self whenever I get everything else taken care of soon.

Feeling Uninspired And Emotional...

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 24, 2015, 12:38 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

I have decided to post this journal entry to let everyone know how I've been feeling lately... As you can probably tell by my recent artwork that I was able to post on here not too long ago, I haven't actually had much luck being able to draw as many pictures that everyone I know would be interested in seeing me work on, primarily because I've been dealing with a creative block that's kept me from figuring out what to draw on my own, and I also haven't been able to do many art trades and/or commission pictures as I had hoped, which has also been keeping me down because I'm kind of worried that no one actually cares about what I'm able to draw, even when I do try to let everyone know that I'm still open for drawing pictures as gifts, commisions, etc. for anyone else who is interested.

Speaking of which, I've actually sort of gave up on drawing pictures as birthday gifts/requests for my friends and watchers that I would be able to work on for each month at the moment, mostly because there was hardly anyone who was nice enough to ask me to draw something in time for their birthday since last month, and the friends that I was actually hoping to draw birthday-themed gifts for didn't seem to let me know what to draw for them for some strange reason, in which I'd then have to ask them personally (and I've always been the kind of person who really hates to ask because I'm afraid of being told "no" for something that I feel is completely necessary). Believe me, I do not take too kindly to rejection unless it's for an understandable reason that I'm usually able to agree with, and just being told "no" for the wrong reasons always tends to make me feel like I'm some kind of a failure who should just end his life once and for all.

Now, I know that may have sounded kind of extreme, but I'm just trying to explain how I sometimes feel about these kind of emotions, especially if they always seem to happen to me while trying my best to get along with everyone I know here on DeviantArt. I don't even understand why anyone would be afraid of asking me to draw something for them, or at least give me suggestions of what they'd like to see me drawing, because I'm actually an aspiring cartoon artist whose talent has greatly approved over time, and I think it should be kind of important for any of my supporters being able to provide me with some creative ideas in case I don't get the urge to draw anything on my own. Heck, if I were to leave this site, I don't really know how everyone else would react unless they were to prove that I am not just a good artist, but a good friend to them as well. I'll admit, this is kind of a confusing time for me, and I just want to continue drawing the same way as some of my other artist friends including :iconcottoncattailtoony: and :iconshinragod:, who always seem to be inspired by the support they always receive while I tend to get left behind as always.

Anthro and Human Characters: My Thoughts

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 3, 2015, 1:44 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

Because I've been feeling kind of bored lately, I would just like to talk about something that's been on my mind for quite some time now... As you can tell from checking out my art gallery here on DeviantArt, I happen to be a cartoon artist who absolutely loves to draw pictures involving anthropomorphic animal characters all the time, and I'm not usually able to draw many pictures involving human characters. The reason I feel like wanting to discuss this particular topic with all of my friends on here is because, to be completely honest, I don't really care for certain types of human characters as much as some people may realize. In fact, I'm actually starting to find most human characters who appear in cartoon shows, movies, video games, etc. that I'm able to enjoy to be rather dull and unappealing to me; Not to mention they're just too common in every form of media, and they're practically a 'dime a dozen' in my opinion.

Now I can understand that human characters are usually meant to be based on people in real life, which is quite easy to relate to (especially if it's a fictional character based on a famous celebrity or whatever), but I seem to have lost my interest in those kind of characters some time ago ever since I began focusing only on anthro animal characters. I guess the reason that I've stopped liking most human characters over the years is because I've never really been what others would probably refer to as a 'people person', especially since I happen to be an incredibly shy person in real life, and I don't really like talking to people face-to-face that much for some strange reason. I know this may sound kind of alarming to everyone when I say this, but I think I'm actually starting to hate human people altogether because everyone I try to socialize with in both real life and/or the internet tends to act kinda selfish and unsupporting towards me (especially whenever I'm trying to share something and/or participate in some kind of project that I just want to be a part of) unless they're just being nice and friendly, and I actually do try my best to be nice to everyone since I've never been a truly bad person in anyway at all.

And while I'm on the topic, I sometimes feel that anthro animals characters don't get as much appeal as they deserve when there is a TV show, movie, video game, etc. that involves those kind of characters. One perfect example would the Nintendo DS game "Solatorobo: Red The Hunter", in which most of the characters happen to be humanoid dogs and humanoid cats, and I actually find them to be much more appealing than just about all of the human characters that appeared in all other video game series that have come out such as "Mass Effect" and "Gears Of War". Even so, I still don't understand why some people don't like those kind of characters at all or that much, and they've always had a certain kind of charm to me for as long as I can remember. Speaking of which, I was actually able to check out a teaser trailer for the new Disney animated movie "Zootopia" when I was able to see "Inside Out" in theaters recently, and it was sure to please as well as interest me because of how much I really love anthro animal characters, especially if they're the kind of animals that are furry (but not hoofed, BTW), and I would also plan to go out and see the movie whenever it comes out in Spring 2016.

OCs Meme

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 23, 2015, 2:10 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

Taken from my good friend :iconshinragod::

1. Your first OC ever?
The first original character I've ever created was a cartoon dalmatian named Lucky, whom I created back when I was in seventh grade, and I've tried to bring him back not too long ago as well.

2. Do you have a personal favorite among your OCs?
I would probably have to say Whitnee Squirrel because she is character I've created who turned out very nice and lovely ever since I drew her back in 2009, and I still enjoy drawing her to this day. :D

3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else?
Yes, I have adopted a character that was given away for free, which is a female fox character with colorful fur named Kati, although I feel like I should try to draw some newer pictures of her as well.

4. A character you rarely talk about?
I would have to say Melanie Squirrel, whom I created to be a rival of Whitnee (the original verison of my character) who would was meant to be the typical snob character who would act all jealous toward her.

5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?
I would definitely choose Whitnee Squirrel because of her being my most favorite character that I've ever created, and I even tried to make her quite unique by making her a gal who loves video games and anything related to Japan while trying to put her in many clever situations to appeal to everyone I know.

6. Two OCs of yours that look alike despite not being related?
I'd definitely have to say both the original version and "T.U.F.F. Puppy" version of Whitnee Squirrel; Even though they both share the same name and one of the characters was inspired by the other, they are actually meant to be different from each other despite the similarities.

7. Are your OCs part of any story or stories?
Yes, I have created quite a few characters for the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" universe, most notably my Team Shinobi characters, who would also be loosely inspired by the 1980s/1990s cartoon version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

8. Do you RP as any of your OCs? If you do, introduce one of your RP OCs here!
Yes, I quite a few role-plays involving my characters. One of them would include Betty Bat:

Betty Bat's Quality Time by CaseyDecker

9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else?
Probably not, but I would be willing to let people borrow my original characters nonetheless.

10. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a “sunshine”?
Yes, I would have to say Shizu Siam because of her being a character who is very friendly and polite.

11. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot.
I would have to say Sabina The Saluki, who is a female dog character created by my best friend :iconsillkung: that I love to draw because of how lovely she is.

12. Do you have any troublemaker OCs?
Yes, I would definitely have to say my "T.U.F.F. Puppy" villain characters, especially The Water Wolf, whom I created to act like a bully with a body composed entirely of water, hence the name.

13. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory:
Goldie Fox is a character I've created whose mother was killed in a car accident on the day of her high school graduation, and her father would even try to commit suicide to othercome the lost of his wife afterwards, which can be explained in this short story that I've done a while back: fav.me/d5bo9tf

14. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)?
I'd probably have to say Brandon Fox because I originally intended him to be the nerdy type who also becomes the boyfriend of Goldie Fox.

15. Any OC OTPs?
I'm actually kind of curious to know what those are, so please someone tell me ASAP. :eager:

16. Any OC crackships?
I don't know exactly what those are, so I think I'll pass...

17. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)
Lucky Dalmatian is actually an important character to me because he was one of the very first characters I've ever created on my own back when I was in seventh grade, and I remember that I used to draw pictures involving him a lot before I was able to create my current characters that I draw, including Whitnee Squirrel and Goldie Fox.

Lucky Dalmatian Cartoon Artwork Collage by CaseyDecker Lucky Dalmatian Comic Strips Collage by CaseyDecker

18. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?
No, I don't really have any characters who actually sing at the moment, but I do have a few of them who are fans of music nonetheless. :blushes:

19. Your most artistic OC?
I don't think I have a character with artistic talent other than my fursona, Casey Squirrel.

20. Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how?
Yes, I suppose I've had some people mischaracterize Whitnee Squirrel a little differently, most notably the way they're able to draw her hairstyle, since she's supposed to have a go-go hairstyle with flat bangs.

21. Introduce an OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like.
I would have to say the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" version of Whitnee Squirrel, who was originally meant to be the same character, but then I decided to create her as an entirely different character while keeping her name and style, especially after being partially inspired by the popularity of my friend :iconshinragod:'s original character, Lady Malmsteen, whom I'm also a fan of like everyone else.

22. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?
I would have to say the orignal version of Whitnee Squirrel because she was a character who is based on my passion for video games, and I do try to draw pictures that would even focus on Whitnee's love for video games as well. ;)

23. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?)
That would be my fursona, Casey Squirrel, who is basically a furry version of myself. 'Nuff said.

24. Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will?
No, I actually keep my original characters just the way they are.

25. Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song?
No, I don't think I have any characters who were inspired by any songs at all.

26. Your most dangerous OC?
I would definitely have to say Yami Squirrel, whom I created to be the evil twin sister of Whitnee in the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" universe, and she would constantly try to defeat and/or humiliate her peace-loving sister no matter how many times she fails to do so.

27. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?
I would probably have to say Betty Bat because of her being a teenage girl, and she would even have a stuffed toy of a naked mole rat as well. ;)

28. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like.
I've never actually used Tumblr before, so I think I'll pass on such a topic...

29. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist, and why?
I think it's kind of obvious, but I would have to say Whitnee and/or Jade because of them being girls who are into video games. ;)

30. Your shyest OC?
That would probably have to be Skyler Fox, who is the autistic younger brother of Goldie, and he would also speak very little to everyone who interacts with him as well.

31. Do you have any twin characters?
As I've mentioned before, Whitnee and Yami are a pair of twin characters from the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" universe, and they would also be rivals of each other as well.

32. Any sibling characters?
Yes, I have a few other sibling characters, which include: Jade Squirrel (the younger sister of the original version of Whitnee Squirrel), Fred Fox (the older brother of Goldie Fox), and Skyler Fox (the younger brother of Goldie Fox).

33. Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)?
Yes, I suppose Whitnee and Jade would count because of Jade originally being created by my good friend :iconwolf492:.

34. Introduce an OC who is not quite human.
I don't really have any characters who are like that, since most of them happen to be anthro animals... :blushes:

35. Which one of your OCs would be the best dancer?
I would have to say Amber Chipmunk because of her being a character who has a fond passion for music, and she'd love to dance as well.

36. Introduce any character you want.
Rita Cheetah is a character I've created who is the best friend of Goldie Fox, and she's a very athletic gal who loves to play sports and workout all the time. One notable thing about her would be the fact that she often wears a sweatband that always matches the color of her socks that she wears with each of her outfits.

37. Any fond memories linked to your characters? Feel free to share!
I remember that I once had a dream inspired by the Disney animated movie "Wreck-It Ralph", in which I dreamt about Whitnee and Jade being the stars of a Japanese-themed arcade video game, and they'd even be able to interact with the characters from other video games almost like in the movie that my dream was based on as well.

38. Has anyone drawn fanart of your OCs? If yes, maybe show a picture or two.
Yes, I've had quite a few friends of mine drawing fan art of my original characters, and here are just a few of my favorites that I'd like share as well:

Team Shinobi by ICartoonFantic Rest From A Jog by Marquis2007 Tickling The Squirrel Sisters by RBM-Ink
Volleyball Stars by GeminiJC Betty Bat by Creative-Dreamr Whitnee Squirrel by shinragod

39. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess.
No, I just usually create my characters based on whatever ideas I have that are on my mind, and I'm even able to create some characters based on other things that inspire me to continue drawing as well.

40. Something you like about your OCs in general?
I've always liked the cartoony style that I'm able to draw my original characters, which has greatly improved over the years ever since I was able to create all kinds of characters that I like to draw.

41. A character you no longer use?
I would probably have to say Candi Cat and her best friend, Silvia Squirrel, who were a couple of younger female characters that I've created before I was able to discover DeviantArt.

42. Has anyone ever told you that you treat your OCs badly?
Yes, I've had quite a few internet trolls accuse me of mistreating Skyler Fox just because he's a character I've created who has autism. :(

43. Has anyone ever (friendly) claimed any of your OCs as their child?
No, I don't think so, and I certainly hope not...

44. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure?
I don't really know, and I wouldn't exactly consider Whitnee to be that perfect, either... :blushes:

45. Which one of your OCs would most likely enjoy memes?
I would probably have to say Brandon Fox because he would be into computer stuff, which I've decided would be his job as well. ;)

46. Give me the good ol’ OC talk here. Talk about anything you want:
I feel like wanting to thank all of my friends here on DeviantArt who were always so nice and supportive to me, which has helped me continue drawing pictures involving some of my favorite characters that I've created over the years, and I also feel a bit more appreciated whenever someone's able to ask me to draw something for them as well. :)

I have some important news that I'd like to share with all my friends here on DeviantArt... My sister was able to give birth to her baby daughter just recently, so that means as of today, I am now officially an uncle. I was actually spending the past couple of days at my sister's house taking care of her pet dogs while she and her boyfriend were at the hospital, but I was able to get the news from my mother, who was able to visit the hospital while taking a couple of pictures of my sister's baby. Now that I have a niece, I'm rather quite anxious to become an uncle for the first time, especially because I'm having kind of a hard time trying to figure out what to with my life; Even though I do know how to live on my own and take really good care of myself, I still have such a difficult time trying to socialize with everyone in person or even try to get a job that suits me (as long as I have a way to get around from place to place, since I don't have a driver's license at all). I can understand that I shouldn't have to worry so much about these sort of things that tend to keep me down, but as long as I have friends and family who are always so supportive of me, I think I should be okay with my life as long as I'm happy with the way things are going for me, and I'll try to be a good uncle as well.

TMNT/Ghostbusters Crossover: My Thoughts

Journal Entry: Thu May 21, 2015, 1:39 PM

Even though I've almost given up hope on posting anymore journals that involve me sharing anything random on my mind with my friends, I'm actually starting to feel a little better about myself after a short hiatus, and I have something I'd like to share my thoughts about that I feel is also kind of important, especially to any of my friends who happen to be die-hard fans of "Ghostbusters" and/or "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"... Some time ago, a comic book company called IDW was able to publish a crossover story about the characters from the TMNT universe ending up in the world of the Ghostbusters, and here's what I thought about such a concept after learning about it:

:iconletter-tplz::iconletter-oplz::iconletter-tplz::iconletter-aplz::iconletter-lplz::iconletter-lplz::iconletter-yplz:
:iconletter-aplz::iconletter-wplz::iconletter-eplz::iconletter-splz::iconletter-oplz::iconletter-mplz::iconletter-eplz:
:iconletter-aplz::iconletter-nplz::iconletter-dplz:   :iconletter-eplz::iconletter-pplz::iconletter-iplz::iconletter-cplz:

As you can probably guess, I absolutely loved TMNT & Ghostbusters so much ever since I was a kid, and I totally did not expect such a crossover story to be made involving two of the coolest franchises from the 1980s that just about everyone knows and loves (including yours truly), which was just to good to be true at the time. Just a while back, IDW had published some newer comic book stories featuring the Ninja Turtles as well as a comic book series featuring the Ghostbusters, and both series would eventually come together in one of the most unexpected yet clever concepts ever done since Marvel and DC had come together as another company called Amalgam Comics to create new comic book heroes based on their existing characters. Anyway, the crossover story of TMNT and Ghostbusters was released as a four-issue mini-series, in which I was able to buy a copy of the first issue of at a local comic book store on the weekend of my birthday (the very same weekend of this year's Super Bowl), and I decided to purchase the paperback book containing all four issues as soon as it became available recently. Needless to say, I think it was definitely worth every penny, especially if it was rather affordable on my budget.

Because I don't want to reveal too much about the plot for anyone else who is interested in checking it out for themselves, I will try to explain the story with a short explaination... The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael) are able to test out a new teleportation system that Donatello had created with a fellow scientist who is friends with him, and they are also accompanied by their other friends, April O' Neal and Casey Jones, when they try it out. Upon doing so, however, the scientist accidentally touches the wrong switch while trying to swat a fly bothering him, which results in the heroes being teleported to an alternate version of New York City, which happens to be the home of the Ghostbusters (Peter Veikman, Ray Stanz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore). Almost immidiately after arriving, an evil god-like spirit from the Ninja Turtles' own dimension shows up to wreak havock and tries to take over the world. The Ninja Turtles then eventually team up with the Ghostbusters to stop the villain while being able to introduce themselves to each other and finding a way to get the Turtles, April, and Casey back to their home.

Just like in many of the comic books that are being produced today, the art style that was used for the TMNT/Ghostbusters crossover story looks very nice and impressive for sure, and I'm even able to notice the different art styles for each of the comic universes that the story would take place in. For instance, the TMNT characters are first seen in the art style from the comic book series when they are in their home world, and whenever we see them end up in the world of the Ghostbusters, they are then shown in the art style from the "Ghostbusters" comic series; Needless to say, the Ninja Turtles actually looked very much like they did in the 2003 cartoon series whenever they appear in the Ghostbusters' dimension, and they even have the same green-colored skins as their cartoon counterparts as well. As for the Ghostbusters characters, I also like how the Ghostbusters closely resembled themselves from the original movies, and I even imagined hearing the voices of the actors who played them (including Harold Ramis, who had just passed away last year) in my head as I was reading the story from beginning to end. Besides the action sequences involving the Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters fighting the evil spirit and his army of followers, I also liked the moments with all the characters being able to interact with each other, especially since the characters have quite a few similarities involving their personalities, such as Peter and Raphael being the smart-aleck types and Donatello and Egon being scientific geniuses. Because of how much work was put into making this amazing crossover, the story was definitely well-written in such a unique way, and it also kinda inspires me to do something like this for my new pictures and stories that I would become interested in working on; In fact, I might even want to try doing a crossover story of my own that involves the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" characters (including my Team Shinobi characters) being able to meet Nickelodeon cartoon version of the TMNT characters in some clever way. Other than that, I would totally recommend picking up a copy of the TMNT/Ghostbusters crossover story wherever you may find it, and it's sure to please anyone who is a huge fan of crossovers involving two or more franchises coming together in many creative ways.

Because of April almost being over with for this year, I have decided to start accepting ideas for birthday gifts/requests for all my friends' birthday that take place in May. Even though I have been recently dealing with some personal issues involving me not being able to work on any commission and/or art trade pictures for anyone who is interested, I am pretty much over it for now, and I also hope that my friends would even be nice enough to provide me with some ideas for pictures they'd like to see me draw for them if I'm having kind of a difficult time trying to think of something on my own (as long as it's nothing too complicated, that is). In case anybody is wondering what I usually able to draw for birthday gifts/requests, here is a couple of lists involving types of characters that I can draw as well as types of characters that I cannot draw:
