The Dawn Of 2017...

Journal Entry: Mon Jan 2, 2017, 12:00 PM
As everyone may already know by now, the year 2017 has officially begun since yesterday, and I feel like wanting to post a short journal entry as a way of letting everyone know how I've been feeling recently. First of all, I was able to spend New Year's Eve by hanging out at a bowling alley in my hometown, which I was able to walk all the way on foot from my home, and I decided to play a few games by myself before the countdown to midnight, and I even managed to walk home just fine without any problems. Then, after being able to post my new picture that I did as a way of celebrating New Year's Day recently, I asked my aunt to take me to the movie theater just outside of town, and we were able to see the movie "Sing"; I'll admit, it doesn't quite have the same charm as the Disney animated movie "Zootopia" (which happens to be the favorite animated movie of both me and my good friend shinragod), but it does have the kind of humor that you'd expect from the same people who worked on the "Despicable Me" movies as well as "The Secret Life Of Pets", and my aunt loved it for sure.

Despite being able to do a couple of fun things as a way of kicking off the new year, I have also decided to take a short break from posting some new pictures here on DeviantArt for about a week so that I can get to work on any pictures that I need to get done after focusing on just the two pictures that I had recently posted. However, I will be able to check my messages regularly so they don't pile up during my break, and I should be able to feel inspired to draw once again. Until then, here's hoping the rest of 2017 will turn out to be quite perfect for me.

How My Holiday Season Went

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 28, 2016, 1:40 PM

Now that Christmas has officially come and gone for this year, I feel like wanting to post a journal entry explaining how my Christmas had turned out for me not too long ago... Unlike last year, in which I was in kind of an unhappy mood for some reason, I was feeling much more positive when spending the holidays with my family this year, especially when I was able to get plenty of good presents, which include: a copy of "Ghostbusters 1 & 2" on Blu-ray, the "Toy Story" trilogy on Blu-ray, a copy of "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze" on the Nintendo Wii U, some cool Pokémon-related stuff that I like to collect, and a couple of gift cards for places such as Game Stop and Wal-Mart. Of course, I was able to save up some of my money to buy some really good presents for everyone else in my family, which they definitely loved after opening, and that usually makes me feel quite happy for sure.

However, when my mother was able to open up one of her presents that my sister had given to her, she was able to find a note in the present that was cleverly-folded as a way of surprising her with an important announcement: My sister and her boyfriend (or husband, since they actually got married a few months ago and decided to keep it a secret) will be having their wedding sometime in late-August of next year, and they're even able to rent a condo near the Gulf Coast in Alabama for us to stay at for a whole week when it happens. After hearing about this, my mother practically burst into tears, especially after my sister had announced that my brother has been chosen to be the best man, and his girlfriend was also chosen to be the maid of honor for the wedding. Now, I suppose this is quite a happy occassion for everyone in my family, but I'm also rather confused at the same time, since I seem to be the only one left out of getting an important role in my sister's wedding, though my sister was thinking of making me usher for the wedding, but I have absolutely no idea what an usher does, and I'm hoping it doesn't involve interacting with people that I may not know (especially since I happen to be extremely shy in person unless I'm having fun in some way). To be honest, I've actually been getting kinda bored with weddings after going to quite a few of my cousins' weddings since the past year, especially since I happen to be the only person in my family who doesn't have a spouse or even a girlfriend, and the weddings that have been going on are practically a reminder that I'll probably never be able to find a girl for myself unless they were able to find me (and I'm not even going to try to do something stupid like Chris Chan has done in some of his documentaries that I watched about him, so please don't ask).

Despite the confusing feelings that I've been dealing with after the announcement of my sister's wedding, it wasn't actually enough to make me feel unhappy, especially because I'm also quite proud of my sister for being able to marry someone who's always been really nice towards me while also having so much in common such as our passion for movies and video games. Speaking of which, I'd also like to point out that my birthday happens to be next month on January 28, and I'm also hoping that many of my friends will be able to draw some nice-looking pictures as birthday gifts for me, which I'd really appreciate as always. Until then, I was actually able to have such a good Christmas this year, and here's hoping that next year will turn out to be just as good as well.

Sonic Fandom Doubts

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 21, 2016, 6:34 PM
Even though Christmas happens to be only a few days away, I feel like wanting to ask about something that's been on my mind recently... Why do a lot of people tend to criticize the Sonic fandom whenever it is brought up in a discussion? I mean, I'm actually more of a casual fan of the Sonic franchise despite how much of a fan I've become of the Blue Blur over the years, but after all the hatred and criticism about all the new Sonic games that have been released
during the last ten years (despite the fact that most of them actually turned out great such as "Sonic Unleashed", "Sonic Colors", and "Sonic Generations"), I just haven't been feeling comfortable about wanting a gamer anymore, especially since the only types of games that everyone seems to care about nowadays are first-person shooter series such as "Call Of Duty" and "Overwatch" (both of which I find rather unappealing to me, so no offense to those who enjoy them). If I can't be allowed to like the Sonic franchise anymore, then that obviously means I can't be allowed to like the Super Mario franchise or even the Mega Man franchise because they're all platforming game series, and nobody seems to like that genre anymore, especially if the PS4 and Xbox One doesn't have any particular titles suitable for a casual gamer such as myself (aside from the fact that "Sonic Mania" will be coming out on both consoles, but not for any of the Nintendo consoles). Speaking of which, I actually refuse to be a fan of game series such as "Final Fantasy", "Gears Of War", "Fallout", "Tomb Raider", or "Uncharted" because they happen to be a few of my least favorite game series that most people seem to like. Other than that, I just feel kinda lost about not being allowed to enjoy certain game series that have always been appealing to me if everyone's going to criticize any new titles that may be released for them, and I might as well give up gaming entirely if that's the case.

Super Mario Bros. 2 VS. Doki Doki Panic!

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 16, 2016, 1:00 PM

Just recently, I was in the mood for playing the NES classic "Super Mario Bros. 2", which I have mentioned quite a few times in the past that it happens to be my most favorite game in the SMB Trilogy for the NES, and I feel like wanting to talk about differences between the game and its Japanese counterpart known as "Doki Doki Panic!" (translated in English, the game is actually called "Dream Factory Family: Heart-Pounding Panic!"). Now, while I may go on explaining the differences between both versions of "Super Mario Bros. 2" released in Japan and North America (especially with the former being renamed "Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels" when released in the US), I've decided to discuss why the US version of "Super Mario Bros. 2" is actually a bit better to play than "Doki Doki Panic!", especially after hearing some heated arguments about SMB2 not being liked just because it was a re-skin of an existing game originally released in Japan, but I am here to point out the reasons why the version we got in the US is actually superior to the Japanese games, and here is a list of reasons I'm able to post involving the main differences between both games, though a spoiler warning should be in effect for those who have yet to play and/or complete either game for themselves:

#1 - Character Selection - I'm sure just about everybody knows who the characters are in both versions of the game and which characters from the Japanese version are switched with the Mario Characters, but just in case there's anyone who doesn't know about the characters, they are (US version = Japanese version):

Mario = Imajin
Luigi = Mama
Toad = Papa
Peach = Leena

While the characters do happen to have the same abilities as each others' counterparts, the main difference I feel like pointing out is being able to play through the levels as each character. In the US version of the game, players are able to choose which character to play as for each level until you beat it, and you can choose to play as a different character for the next level. In the Japanese version of the game, however, once you choose the character to play as, you keep playing as that character until you complete the World, which consists of three levels each (with the exception of World 7, which has only two levels).

#2 - Graphical Differences - This one is kind of an understandable difference between both games, but US version of the game has improved visuals that actually look a bit better than the Japanese version of the game, which include the grass containing items and power-ups being a different color with a unique animation and the cherry power-ups to collect being animated in the US version as well. But the most notable different would be waterfalls found in various levels, which move so quickly in the Japanese version that it's enough to cause a seizure (especially when playing through World 3-1 and/or World 5-1); In the US version, however, the waterfall animations have been slowed down gradually, which makes it a lot easier on the eyes of the players.

#3 - Gameplay Mechanics - In order for the Japanese version game to be made into a proper Mario sequel, there were a couple of slight gameplay changes that were done in the US version of the game to make it even more enjoyable. In the Japanese version of the game, the characters are able to run at one speed while moving; In the US version of the game, the characters are able to run faster by holding down the 'B' Button just like in SMB. In the Japanese version of the game, the characters simply lost a life after getting hurt with one heart left; In the US version of the game, the characters would shrink down to size if they have one heart left, indicating that one more hit would kill them...just like in SMB.

#4 - World 5 Boss Battles - Anyone who's been able to play through either version of the game would probably know who the boss character at the end of World 5 is, but it's actually quite different in both versions of the games depending on which version you grew up playing. In the Japanese version of the game, the boss of World 5 is a white version of Mouser, and the fight is quite similar to the one in World 3 except for the spikes on the floor, which also makes the battle quite challenging. In the US version of the game, however, the boss at the end of World 5 happens to be a large crab named Clawgrip, who attacks Mario and friends by hurling rocks at them. Needless to say, Clawgrip was a newer character that was created exclusively to the US version, which made the game feel a bit more new and original at the time.

#5 - Game Completion & Ending - I'm sure there are some people who are able to discuss such a topic about which game has the better ending, but they're quite similar in terms of presentation, and I also want to talk about the gameplay differences when getting to the endings for both versions of the game. The Japanese version of the game requires the player to play through all the levels in game as all four the playable characters (Imajin, Leena, Mama, and Papa) in order to see the ending, which is actually possible thanks to a game save feature on Famicom Disk System. In the US version of the game, however, there is no save feature that would allow players to save at any time, but the game does require you to beat the levels only once per game, which adds some variety when choosing to play as a different character if you'd like.

As for the endings of both games, the Japanese version has the four main characters returning to their home by coming out of the magical storybook after defeating Wart, and the US version has a surprise twist at the end that reveals the adventure turning out to be a dream after Mario and his friends are able to defeat Wart. If I had to choose which of those two endings I like most, it would definitely have to be the US version because of it actually being something quite original without having to rely on the same old mechanic for other Mario games in the future, and it's also a unique way to express why the game was meant to be kind of different from its predecessor. However, I'm sure some people would disagree with me by saying the Japanese version is superior because it came out first and that the ending for the US version was kind of a disappointment just because the story turned out be a dream by the main hero; On the other hand, I would have to disagree about such a reason to not like the game, especially because the music heard throughout both parts of the ending are wonderfully composed by the one and only Koji Kondo (who happens to be the same guy who composed much of the music heard in Nintendo's popular game titles), and the whole 'adventure turning out to be a dream' concept would also be used in other games that turned out to be fun to play such as "The Magical Quest: Starring Mickey Mouse" on the SNES and "The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening" on the Game Boy.

If you're curious to learn more about the history of "Super Mario Bros. 2" and how it came to be one of the most unique games in the Mario series, I'm able to share a YouTube video of an episode of "The Gaming Historian" explaining the whole history behind the game, which I also found to be quite interesting after checking it out. Thank you, and enjoy!

Twelve Requests Of Christmas 2016 - CLOSED

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 28, 2016, 12:39 PM

Because of the holiday season now happening after another Thanksgiving has come to an end for this year, I have decided to go ahead and start accepting ideas for requests that I will be doing as part of my annual "Twelve Requests Of Christmas" project, which I've been able to do every year for the holidays. Just like in my last request project that I was able to do for Halloween this year, I will mostly be able to pick twelve of the request ideas for anyone who is able to comment my journal that I would be most comfortable to draw at my own pace, though I might just be able to do the "first come, first serve" rule depending on what happens, and I'll be able to fill up slots on my journal entry of those who will be getting a picture drawn by me, which I'll also have posted on here all month long as well; Once I have chosen the twelve requests to work on, I will no longer be taking requests until further notice. In the meantime, however, I made sure to save a spot for my good friend teamlpsandacnl after he was nice enough to ask me before actually starting the project. Other than that, here is a list of the rules that I have posted regarding the requests for anyone who is interested. Thank you, and happy drawing! :santa:

Holiday Depression Feelings

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 25, 2016, 12:00 PM

As everyone may already know, the holiday season has just begun now that Thanksgiving is able to come and go for this year, and I've decided to use a new journal skin to change the theme for my journal entries that I'll be posting for the holiday season. I'm sure that everyone is able to have themselves a nice and peaceful Thanksgiving weekend so far, and I'll admit that I also had a nice time with my family like I do every year. However, I've been feeling rather gloomy after coming back from my aunt's house last night because I was able to hear my family (from my dad's side) discuss about what we'll be doing for Christmas this year... Every year on the weekend before Christmas, my dad's family is usually have to have a gift exchange where everyone attending would be able to purchase a gift at a fixed price, which we've been doing for as long as I can remember, and I heard my family say that this could be the last time we do something like this for Christmas every year because of my cousins having families of their own, and they're unable to come over and stay like they always do; Just knowing this has made be feel quite unhappy recently because I'm pretty much the only person in my family who isn't married or doesn't have a girlfriend, and I'm just really, really worried about not being able to spend time with my family anymore, especially since I can only go from place to place if someone I know is nice enough to give me a ride all the time. If anyone else has been able to deal with a similar situation that has made them feel emotional the same way as me, then please feel free to share your thoughts with me, and I certainly hope that I will be able to feel much better by the end of the month.

Speaking of which, I should also take the opportunity to let everyone know that I still plan on doing my annual "Twelve Requests Of Christmas" project like I do every year, which I'll be posting a journal entry sometime soon letting everyone know when I'll be accepting Christmas-themed requests while posting the rules, and I've also decided to save a spot for my friend :iconteamlpsandacnl: as a way of making up to him after leaving him out from my "Thirteen Requests Of Halloween" project sometime ago. In case anyone's wondering, though, I will not be accepting the ideas for requests until after I post my next journal, so please hold your ideas about what you'd like me to draw until then.

In case anyone is new to how it works, I will select a certain number of people to draw requests for them (or in this case, 'first come, first serve'), in which I'll be filling up slots on my journal page of those who will be getting a picture drawn by me, and I'll have the pictures posted on here all this month; Once I have chosen the thirteen requests to work on, I will no longer be taking requests until further notice, though I can still do commissions and/or art trades for anyone else who is interested. Halloween Pic Ideas

Tue Sep 27, 2016, 12:35 PM

As you can probably tell just by looking, I was able to download a Halloween-themed journal skin that I would be using for any journal entries that I may be posting on October, and I'd also like to announce that I'll be working on as many Halloween-themed pictures that I plan post all month long because of it being one of my most favorite holidays of the year. I'll mainly be drawing pictures involving either my original characters or characters from my favorite cartoons, video games, etc. that I like to draw being able to celebrate Halloween in some clever way, though I might need a bit of help coming up with some ideas of what to draw if I can't think of anything else on my own, so I will be more than welcome to accept ideas for Halloween-themed pictures that my friends would like me to draw. Speaking of which, I'm also thinking of wanting to do something I'd like to call "Thirteen Requests Of Halloween", which is a kind of project that involves drawing requests for thirteen people kinda like what I'm usually able to do for Christmas like I do every year, except it involves me being able to draw Halloween-themed pictures as a nice change of pace. In the meantime, I'll be posting a journal explaining the details whenever I get the chance to begin my project. Thank you, and Happy Haunting! :pumpkin:

Recent Picture Removal

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 1, 2016, 8:42 AM
After being able to log back onto DeviantArt just recently, you'll probably notice that I had just deleted an older picture done by one of my good friends whom I've known for a long time, which I was able to re-post on here for everyone else to check out before he deactivated his original account. As it would turn out, my friend was able to send me a couple of notes requesting that I take the picture down because he didn't want everyone else to think that he still does foot fetish pictures, which is why he decided to close down his original account not too long ago. And so, I was able to do what he said, and I now feel kinda guilty for what I did, especially because I wasn't even trying to upset him in any possible way, and I just wanted to show off some of the pictures that he did featuring my characters just like some of my other friends who were able to do the same thing before he was able to deactivate his account. If he's able to read this journal entry, I just want to let him know that I'm sorry if I did was a mistake, and I can only hope that he forgives me as long as he's so understanding and kind. :worry:

OC Interview Meme - Shizu Siam

FEATURED CHARACTER - Shizu Siam Shizu Siam In Action by CaseyDecker

After seeing some of my friends working on such a meme recently, I decided to take the opportunity to do the same thing by interviewing one of my orignal characters, and I was able to choose my "T.U.F.F. Puppy" fan character, Shizu Siam, so that everyone can get to know her a little better. If you'd like to work on the work on the meme, please feel free to copy the rules and the questions while interviewing your character. Thank you, and enjoy!

RULES:

1. Choose one of your OCs to answer the questions provided.
2. Your OC should NOT lie! Have him or her be honest here. ^^
3. When you're done, tag as many people as you want.
4. Have fun (hopefully)!

QUESTIONS:

1. What is your real name and nickname?
Shizu: "My real name is Shizu Siam, although I don't really know if I have a nickname or not, since I've always been known as Shizu for as long as I can remember..."

2. Interesting... What is your current age?
Shizu: "I happen to be 15 years old, which also makes me the youngest member of Team Shinobi."

3. Uh-uh... What is your favorite food?
Shizu: "I would probably have to say anything that's made with fish, since I happen to be a cat after all."

4. And your favorite drink?
Shizu: "It may be kind of obvious, but I would have to say milk."

5. Confession time! Who is your lover?
Shizu: "I don't really know, but I'm not afraid to admit that I've had a huge crush on Dudley ever since I first met him."

6. Have you kissed anyone yet?
Shizu: "Well, I remember that I have almost tried to kiss Dudley once, but I just didn't want him to be unhappy at me if I actually did..."

7. What about your childhood sweetie?
Shizu: "I've never had a childhood sweetie, mostly because I've spent much of my childhood living in a cardboard box whenever I was by myself at a young age."

8. Who is your favorite author?
Shizu: "After being able to read quite a few books over the years, I would probably have to say J.K. Raccooning, who happens to be the author of the 'Harry Pottamus' book series."

9. Now, what is your biggest fear?
Shizu: "I would have to say being left all alone by myself, which tends to make me scared and sad."

10. Any siblings?
Shizu: "No, I think I'm pretty much an only child..."

11. Almost done, it's only 20 questions. Who is your hero?
Shizu: "I would definitely have to say Dudley Puppy because I was able to hear so much about all the heroic deeds that he did ever since he became a member of T.U.F.F. while working alongside Kitty Katswell, which I heard all about before Whitnee was able to let me become a member of Team Shinobi, and he's been kind of an idol to me as well. I don't understand why some people tend to dislike him whenever he does something foolish, but he happens to be a big-hearted fellow who always does the right thing, and that's why I'll always adore him."

12. OK, who is your worst enemy?
Shizu: "It's kind of hard for me to tell, since I try to avoid making enemies whenever I can, especially when fighting bad guys who try to cause trouble for everyone else."

13. Huh, alright... Now who is your best friend?
Shizu: "I would have to say Whitnee because she was nice enough to give me a home in Petropolis after my original home was destroyed back in Japan, and she's even able to treat me like the sister I probably never had."

15. Now, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Shizu: "I've never actually thought about it, but I think I'll be happy working as a T.U.F.F. agent by helping anyone who is trouble while also working alongside my friends."

16. What is your worst nightmare?
Shizu: "I'd have to say getting chased by a bunch of evil villains without anyone saving me; Just thinking about it brings shivers down my spine!"

17. What is your lifelong dream?
Shizu: "I would probably have to say trying to find out what happened to my family and how I became an orphan, since I've actually been able to take care of myself at such a young age, and it would be nice to learn more about my past before becoming a Team Shinobi member."

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
Shizu: "Depending on if anybody in my family is still alive, I would try to spend as much time with them as long as nothing bad has happened to them. Even if I do decide to go back with my family, I would still serve as a T.U.F.F. agent in training without having to abandon those who care so much about me like Whitnee and her friends."

19. OK, where's your favorite place to relax?
Shizu: "I would have to say either the mountains or the beach, since they're both places that are usually so peaceful, and I tend to enjoy places that don't have a lot of conflict going on."

20. Last question. What do you do most of the time?
Shizu: "In case you're wondering, I usually hang out with my friends all the time, whether we're completing missions for T.U.F.F. or just having fun in some way. Like I mentioned before, I don't like being alone that much, and I should be quite happy spending time with Dudley, Kitty, and everyone else I know and love."

Okay, thank you for the interview, and it was also nice getting to know you a little more as well.

Sonic Artwork Hiatus

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 25, 2016, 12:06 PM

As everyone who's been able to watch me for some time may already know, I have been able to keep myself busy all month by trying to work on many pictures that I'll be posting as a way of celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog, but unfortunately, there have been quite a few things happening for me this month that kinda kept me from focusing on drawing more Sonic-themed artwork as I had originally planned. Some of the things that have happened this month for me that have practically distracted me from my cartoon artwork would include: going to see new movies that are currently playing in theaters (such as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows", which actually turned out be even better than the 2014 TMNT movie), buying a Blu-ray copy of "Zootopia" on the day it was released, using my season pass that I got as a Christmas gift from my sister to go to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari as many times this summer, and trying to focus on drawing pictures as gifts for my friends' whose birthdays take place this month such as solid32  and Creative-Dreamr. One thing I should also note is that I originally planned on drawing a picture that I wanted to post in time for Garfield's birthday on June 19th like I do every other year, regardless of me still focusing on my Sonic-themed artwork at the time; However, I also found out that Garfield's birthday actually took place on Father's Day this year, so it was quite confusing trying to decide what to draw for that day, so I decided not to draw anything for that reason.

Speaking of which, after being able to complete my picture that I was able to post in time for Sonic's birthday on June 23 recently, I've sort of developed another art block in process because of how long it actually took for me to complete such a picture involving so many characters that I was able to include, and I just didn't have enough time to work on any other pictures that I wanted to post for the rest of the week afterwards, so I decided to take a short break while focusing on anything else that is on my mind. Even after the Month Of Sonic is able to end, I'll probably still try to focus on drawing more pictures involving Sonic and his friends as well as other characters in the Sonic universe (including any fan characters that are created by other talented artists on here) as a way of celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Blue Blur for the rest of the year, and it would be kind of impossible to focus on doing everything Sonic-related in just one month alone, especially if I have so many things happening all at once for me like the ones I have mentioned already. In the meantime, though, I would appreciate any ideas for pictures that I may be in the mood for drawing if I feel like I'm out of ideas on my own.

The Month Of Sonic - 25th Anniversary

Journal Entry: Thu May 26, 2016, 1:01 PM
As every die-hard fan of Sonic The Hedgehog may already know, this year happens to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Blue Blur and all of the awesomely fun video games that he has appeared in over the years, and I've decided to take the opportunity to spend the next month by drawing as many Sonic-themed pictures as a way of celebrating the past twenthy-five years featuring one of my most favorite video game heroes of all time. Not only will I be able to draw pictures of the official characters from the franchise, but I will also try to draw various fan characters from the Sonic universe that were created by other people (including myself) to help me stay motivated to continue drawing, especially after dealing with a massive art block sometime ago, which I'm pretty much over with so far. In case anybody's wondering, I'm not actually doing requests for free anymore, but I am still doing art trades and commissions for anyone who is interested, so please don't be afraid to ask me to draw something, and I would really appreciate the support as always. I'm also aware that some of my friends' birthdays will be taking place in June, in which I might hold off drawing my Sonic-related artwork to focus on gift art for my friends. Even so, I might need some suggestions for ideas of what to draw in case I get stuck on my own, which are more than welcome from my friends and everyone else. Thank you, and happy drawing!

9. Ever been in a play for school?
Yes, I remember playing the role of the Big Bad Wolf from "The Three Little Pigs" when I was in first grade several years ago.

12. Are you a vegetarian?

Starter Pokemon Curiosity

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 8, 2016, 12:38 PM
Because I've been rather distracted with some personal things lately, I've decided to take a short break from posting new cartoon artwork for a couple of days so that I can discuss something that's been on my mind... As every die-hard Pokémon fan may already know, Nintendo was able to release all three of the original Pokémon games that were released on the original Game Boy (Red Version, Blue Version, and Yellow Version) on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS, and I was able to take the opportunity to purchase Blue Version because of it being the very first game in the series I've ever played when it was becoming popular. However, there is one thing that's actually kinda bothered me for some time about the original games...

"Why does everyone like to choose Charmander as their starter Pokémon in Red and/or Blue Version?"

Now, don't get me wrong; I don't hate Charmander or its evolutionary forms in any way, especially since I find myself training the one that appears in Yellow Version, which becomes quite strong as it evolves into Charmeleon and then into Charizard. The reason this bothers me is because Charmander is actually quite weak to use against the first two Gym Leaders that you battle in the game - Brock (who uses Rock-type Pokémon) and Misty (who uses Water-type Pokémon), and you probably aren't able to find any types of Pokémon that are strong against the types of Pokémon they use earlier in the game... at least, none that I know about in Blue Version. Even though I am aware that Pikachu, which is the only Pokémon that you start off with in Yellow Version, is completely powerless against Brock's Pokémon because of them also being Ground-types, the secret to beating him in that game is to catch a Mankey and train it until it learns Low Kick, which is a Fighting-type move that is super effective against the Rock-type Pokémon.

In case anybody is wondering, my favorite starter Pokémon in the first generation of Pokémon games has always been Squirtle because of it being quite strong for a Water-type Pokémon, especially whenever it evolves into Wartortle and Blastoise respectively. Plus, Blastoise was one of the reasons why I decided to get a copy of Blue Version during my thirteenth birthday because I thought it looked kinda cool with its cannon nozzles that are seen poking out of its shell. As for Bulbasaur, it was another good starter Pokémon that I sometimes trained whenever I started a new game, though Squirtle will always remain my personal favorite in all the games it appears in. Speaking of which, I can understand why many people love Charmander and its evolutionary forms because it's a Pokémon that is known for being fast as well as powerful. Due to its popularity, though, I sometimes feel that the other starter Pokémon have become either underrated or overlooked in some way over the years. If anyone is such an obsessive fan of Charmander as well as Charmeleon and/or Charizard, that's totally fine and okay with me, since I've pretty much enjoyed the Pokémon franchise ever since it first came out in the US, and I'll probably be able to continue enjoying the games that are able to come out until the end of time.

Zootopia: My Thoughts And Review

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 7, 2016, 1:13 PM

As every die-hard fan of anthropomorphic animal characters may already know, the new Disney animated movie "Zootopia" had just come out this past weekend, and it's sure to be a big hit with everyone who loves watching any of the Disney animated movies that have come out the last few years. I was able to go out and see the movie just recently, and I have only one thing to say about it... I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! Without a doubt, "Zootopia" has easily become one of my most favorite Disney movies of the current decade, and I haven't actually been so excited to see a new Disney animated movie since the release of "Wreck-It Ralph" back in 2012 (which will always remain one of my all-time favorites, BTW). After seeing the teaser trailer for the movie when going out to see "Inside Out" in theaters last year, I just knew that I would love "Zootopia" because of it being a movie that would appeal to me for sure, especially since I've always loved anthro animal characters for as long as I could remember, and the teaser trailer pretty much described what kind of characters they happen to be (presumably to those who are unfamilar with anthro animals unless they've seen any of the "Kung Fu Panda" movies) while introducing us to a couple of the characters who would appear in the movie.

Anyway, much of the movie takes place in a large city known as Zootopia, which is composed of different sections for each kind of animal, and one of the main characters is a female rabbit named Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin), who practically trains herself hard to become the first rabbit to be a police officer, since all the other police officers in the city happen to be larger mammals. Judy is a type of character who is quite friendly and optimistic, and she's never able to give up when it comes to helping others in need, even when she runs in a male fox named Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman), who is the other main character that appears in the movie. Unlike Judy, Nick happens to be a con artist who's able to make a living by selling home-made popsicles while obtaining materials in various ways such as having his partner (who is a Fennec fox) posing as a baby. Nick is a type of character who is always cool and collected for a fox, which definitely makes him just as appealing as Judy, especially when he's able to help her solve an important case that involves finding missing animals who have gone savage for some reason, though I won't reveal the entire plot to anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet. Besides Judy and Nick, all the other characters who appeared in the movie are all quite unique and likeable such as Officer Clawhauser, Chief Bogo, Flash The Sloth, and Yaxx (who is voiced by Tommy Chong, I might add).

I'll admit, I wasn't exactly sure if anyone I knew would be able to give me a ride to the theater that is located outside my hometown on the weekend that "Zootopia" was released, since my mother had to work all weekend and my aunt who usually takes me to the movies was kind of busy and might not be able to take me at the time. And so, I was able to ask my sister to take me to the movie theater after learning that she and her boyfriend were not doing anything at all on Saturday, and they were even nice enough to give me a ride to and from the theater. As it would turn out, my aunt was able to have enough time to take me to the movies the very next day on Sunday, and I decided to take the opportunity to see "Zootopia" for the second time after I ended up missing most of the previews upon arriving the first time; Needless to say, the first time that I saw the movie on Saturday was shown in 3D, and the second time I saw it on Sunday was shown in 2D with a lot more people showing up to see it than on Saturday. I was also hoping my aunt would join me to see it, but she decided to check out a different movie called "Risen" that played a little sooner because of it being a religious-themed movie that she was kind of in the mood for watching (especially with it being close to Easter), even though she really did want to see "Zootopia" with me as well. After her movie was over with, she was able to wait for me inside the theater just in time during the ending, and she even told me that my movie looked even better than the one she was able to check out, which didn't exactly turn out as good as she had hoped.

Anyway, the bottom line is that "Zootopia" is definitely one of the best new animated movies that I have ever seen so far, and I also liked it just about as much as I did with "Kung Fu Panda 3", which is another great animated movie involving anthro animal characters that I love so very much. The people who worked on such a movie did an impressive job making the characters so memorable and appealing while also delivering a storyline with many clever twists and adventures set in a world that is inhabited by anthro animals of all shapes and sizes. Other than that, the movie also teaches an important lesson that anyone can accomplish anything good no matter what kind of person they happen to be, especially if they're the kind of person that everyone else tends to judge rather harshly for one reason or another. If you haven't gone out to see "Zootopia" yet, I would totally recommend checking it out whenever you can, and it is a Disney animated movie involving animal characters that is worth checking out for sure.

8 Facts About Whitnee Squirrel

Journal Entry: Fri Mar 4, 2016, 12:30 PM

Tagged by my good friend :icontherealsneakers::

8 FACTS ABOUT WHITNEE SQUIRREL (ORIGINAL CHARACTER VERSION)

RULES:

1.) Post the rules.
2.) Post 8 facts about your character.
3.) Tag 8 other characters.
4.) Post their names along with their creators avatars.

FACT #1 - Whitnee Squirrel was an original character that I was able to create shortly after checking out DeviantArt for the first time back in 2009, and part of the inspiration for such a character actually came from the webcomic series "Sabrina Online" by Eric Schwartz, where it was a sexy female squirrel from the comic named Amy that inspired me to create my own sexy squirrel character.

FACT #2 - When I first drew Whitnee, I decided to draw her with long black hair and white fur, which I found to be quite a sexy combination, and I even decided that she would often wear red clothing as part of her usual ensemble.

FACT #3 - When creating a unique personality for Whitnee to have, I decided to portray her as a sexy gal who loves to play video games (including the NES, which happens to be her most favorite console of all time), and her passion for gaming is also based on my own personal interests in the kinds of games that I enjoy; I also decided to have Whitnee being a type of character who loves to have her furry white feet tickled and/or massaged in some way, and she's even able to let anyone touch her paws to show how soft they really are.

FACT #4 - Whitnee's fictional birthday is March 14, which happens to be the same day as a Japanese holiday known as 'White Day', and it's also the same day as my father's birthday.

FACT #5 - Whitnee's grandparents were originally born in Japan before coming to live in America, which explains why she has such a deep fascination with anything related to the country (including ninjas), even though she and her family have yet to travel to such a place.

FACT #6 - Whitnee's best friend is a female chipmunk named Amber, who has been her best friend ever since they were in middle school, and they also share an apartment together. One of Amber's unique traits includes her passion for music of all kinds, and she likes to wear white tube socks with pink stripes as part of her usual outfit.

FACT #7 - Whitee has a younger sister named Jade, who was originally created by my good friend Wolf492 for me to use; She can be recognized by her bright green eyes, purple-colored hair, and outfit that usually consists of purple clothing. Despite how closely she resembles Whitnee, she is actually a couple of years younger than her sister, and some people even tend to mistake them for twins.

FACT #8 - There is a character from the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" universe that I created who was practically inspired by Whitnee and shares the exact same name as her. I originally drew her just for fun, but then I was able to develop her into a completely different character with an original backstory for the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" universe, though I was able to keep some of the features that both characters have in common such as the name and feature colors; Not to mention the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" version of Whitnee does eventually become the leader of a team of ninja heroes for hire who work for T.U.F.F. called 'Team Shinobi', and she also has an evil twin sister who constantly tries to fight her named Yami.
