How I'm Feeling Lately...

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 26, 2014, 12:58 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

Because I've got nothing else to do except work on my current set of pictures, I feel like wanting to write about what's been on my mind lately. Just recently, I've started to realize that I actually have a passion for cute girl characters in kimonos, which I've been kind of in the mood for drawing for some time. As you would probably know, I was able to draw my original character, Whitnee Squirrel, in a red kimono plenty of times, and I've also asked my friends and other talented artists who are currently accepting point commissions to draw Whitnee in her kimono as well; Even though the original version of my character isn't actually Japanese (unlike the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" version of Whitnee, which is meant to be different in so many ways), she does have a fond interest in anything Japanese-related, and the kimono she'd be seen wearing would be something that was given to her as a gift by her grandparents, who were born in Japan. Whenever I draw other girl characters in kimonos, I'm also able to draw them with tabi (Japanese socks) on their feet, since I'm still a sucker for girls in socked feet.

I would also like to mention that I just found out that my best friend :iconglingais: had just been engaged to her boyfriend recently, and I feel like wanting to show my support for her in any possible way as well. Even though I should be quite happy for my best friend, I'm also kind of worried that wouldn't be able to hear from her that much whenever I've got something on my mind that I'd like to discuss with her. Because we live so far away from each other, I can totally understand that we would never actually be able to start a relationship, despite how much I've really loved her in the past. Even so, I'm hoping that she'll continue to love me as one of her closest friends.

10 THINGS ABOUT ME:
:bulletred: My two most common interests are cartoons and video games.
:bulletred: I enjoy going to places like amusement parks.
:bulletred: My favorite kinds of foods to eat are pizza and/or sandwiches
:bulletred: I am incredibly shy in person.
:bulletred: My most favorite singer of all time is Weird Al Yankovic.
:bulletred: I am a type of gamer who prefers playing old-school video games instead of the newer titles.
:bulletred: I like to wear t-shirts of my favorite cartoons, video games, etc.
:bulletred: I was one of those kids who grew up to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" instead of "G.I. Joe".
:bulletred: My most favorite video game hero of all time is Sonic The Hedgehog.
:bulletred: I still dream of becoming a great cartoonist.

MY QUESTIONS TO ANSWER:

1) What is your favorite song at the moment?
I would have to say "Perform This Way" by Weird Al Yankovic, which is a parody of the Lady Gaga song "Born This Way".

2) Name one goal on your bucket list?
For me, it would have to be finally getting a laptop computer for myself, so I won't have to rely on my family's desktop. :eager:

3) What are you best at?
I would have to say drawing cartoon characters in my own unique style and playing video games from older consoles really well.

4) How did you come up with your dA username?
I decided to just use my full name so that my friends would be able to recognize me after my original account was hacked into a long time ago. :worry:

5) What anime (or any fictional) character are you most similar to?
I would probably have to say Dudley Puppy from "T.U.F.F. Puppy" because he's a grown dog who still acts like a kid, and I'm pretty much the same way in real life. ;)

6) If you had an Eevee, what would you evolve it to?
It all depends on which Pokemon type I need more on my team, I guess... :pokeball:

7) How do you react when someone takes your food without asking?
I'd get really unhappy because I hate having food taken away from me, especially if I'm in the middle of eating it! :x

8) Describe the most recent dream you remember?
It's kind of hard for me to tell, since my dreams can be too weird for me to describe, especially if I'm unable to remember what some of them were all about. :P

9) If you were home alone in the middle of the night and you heard a fart, would you laugh or be scared?
I would laugh, especially if it sounds really funny. :XD:

10) What would you do for a Klondike bar?
I don't know... I would probably do something I've never done before such as bungee jumping.

MY QUESTIONS TO ASK:

1) Which do you prefer to drink: Coca-Cola or Pepsi?
2) What are your favorite toppings on a pizza?
3) What is your favorite kind of M&M's candy (Plain, Peanut, etc.)?
4) Do you sometimes shallow your chewing gum when you're done with it?
5) Do you prefer to eat sandwiches when they're hot or cold?
6) What is your least favorite topping to eat on a hamburger?
7) Do you like to eat onions?
8) Which condiment do you like more: Ketchup or BBQ Sauce?
9) Besides jelly, what else would you put on a peanut butter sandwich?
10) Are all these food-related questions making you hungry?

Smash TV: My Thoughts

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 20, 2014, 12:32 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

Because I've been feeling kinda bored lately, I am in the mood for talking about a classic arcade game called "Smash TV", which has actually been on my mind not too long ago. In case anybody has never heard of this game before, "Smash TV" is an arcade video game by Midway (an awesome video game company that has gone out of business since 2009) that came out in 1990, and it was also ported to home consoles such as the NES, Sega Genesis, and SNES. The setting for the game took place in the 'futuristic' year of 1999, where players competed in a game show by shooting at hordes of mutant thugs that try to kill them while trying to stay alive and collecting valuable prizes such as cash and toasters. Needless to say, this game was completely inspired by the Arnold Schwarzenegger action/sci-fi flick "The Running Man", which was about an ex-police detective who competed in a violent game show with the contestants trying to stay alive. Because this game was created by the good folks of Midway , the gameplay is quite similar to that of Midway's other arcade classic "Robotron 2084", which featured the use of two joysticks to play - one joystick was used to control the player, and the other joystick was used to fire the weapons in eight directions. What makes this game so awesome is the fact that it is surprisingly violent for a game that came out years before "Mortal Kombat" hit the arcades, and you also gotta love the game show host who says random quotes such as "Big money, big prizes... I love it!" and "I'll buy that for a dollar!" (the latter of which was taken from the original version of the movie "Robocop"). Now, I've never actually played this game when it was released in arcade back in the day (or even seen any of the original cabinets it was playable on), but it was one of many playable games featured in "Midway's Arcade Treasures" on the Nintendo Gamecube, which is how I was able to play the game in its original arcade glory. Whenever I do get the chance to play "Smash TV", I usually don't stop until I've beaten the final level, which is how addicting the game really is. Other than that, I would also love to hear what my friends think of this unforgettable classic.

1. Tell you why I befriended you.

2. Tell you my favorite thing about you.

3. Associate you with something random: a song, a color, a photo, etc.

4. Tell you a memory of you that I try to remember.

5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

6. Tell you what I'd do if we were in the same room right now.

7. If you and I are handcuffed together in a cop car, using only 3 words, what I would say to you.

R.I.P. Harold Ramis

I am posting this quick journal entry to let my friends know that Harold Ramis, who happens to be one of the original Ghostbusters, had just passed away recently. I had just heard about it from some of my friends here on deviantART, and I'd like to show my support for every fan of this awesome movie director/actor. According to the news stories, Harold Ramis passed away at the age of 69 from a serious medical condition that he's actually been dealing with about four years ago. Other than the "Ghostbusters" movies (which I still enjoy watching to this day), he was able to direct and/or star in a bunch of other great comedy movies over the years, which include: "National Lampoon's Animal House", "National Lampoon's Vacation", "Caddyshack", "Stripes", "Groundhog Day", and "Analyze This"; He was also able to appear in the sketch show "SCTV", which I've never actually watched, but I would still love to check it out. One thing's for sure, Harold Ramis will always be remembered by his fans and everyone else who enjoyed his work, and he'll be forever missed as well.

A Thing About Mutants

Journal Entry: Thu Feb 20, 2014, 12:55 PM
Skin by TMNT-Raph-fan

I've decided to go ahead and post this journal entry after being able to install a new skin for my journals, thanks to my Premium Membership! ;)

Anyway, because I am feeling a little bored right now, I would like to share some ideas and thoughts that are on my mind with some of my friends. Lately, I've been in the mood for watching reruns of the classic 1980s cartoon version of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", which I've enjoyed watching since I was a kid, and I was even comparing the mutant characters of the franchise with the mutant characters of "X-Men". Even though a lot of people tend to prefer the mutants of the X-Men series over the mutants of TMNT, I've always prefered the latter mainly because I find myself to be a huge fan of anthro animal characters as long as I could remember. Don't get me wrong; I actually do enjoy "X-Men" every once in a while, especially since Marvel Comics has always had such awesome heroes and villains for everyone to know and love. One thing that does tend to bother me about the X-Men, though, is that many of the mutant characters are merely human beings with superpowers, and they shouldn't actually be classified as 'mutants' unless they were to have an inhuman appearance (examples of such characters would include: Colossus, Sabertooth, Beast, Mystique, and Nightcrawler); After all, Spider-Man happens to be a superhero whose powers and abilities were caused by mutation from a radioactive spider bite, and yet nobody has ever considered him to be a mutant as well. On the other hand, the mutant characters of TMNT are a little more unique to me because they were animals who mutated into humanoid form after being exposed to some mutagen ooze; There were even some mutant characters who started off as humans and ended up mutating into animals the very same way (with the exception of Baxter Stockman in the classic cartoon series, whose mutation was actually based on that of the sci-fi movie "The Fly"). Despite the fact that many of the humaniod animals to appear in the world of TMNT all happen to be mutants, there are a plenty of other characters from the different versions of the series who are non-mutant beings from different worlds, including Miyamoto Usagi (a character spun-off from the comic book series "Usagi Yojimbo") and the Triceratons. But now that I think about it, I think it to be really cool and awesome if Marvel Comics were able to do a crossover with Mirage Studios (or whichever company currently owns the TMNT comic book series) that would involve the X-Men being able to encounter the Ninja Turtles, and they'd eventually work together to defeat their arch-enemies, The Brotherhood Of Mutants and The Foot Clan, who would also find a way to work together and try to conquer the world for their own villainous purposes. Other than that, I would also love to hear what my friends would think of such an idea, and which team of mutant heroes they actually prefer most. :D

Because I'm feeling kinda bored right now, I have decided to post a journal entry about Dudley Puppy and Kitty Katswell from the Nickelodeon cartoon series "T.U.F.F. Puppy", which has actually on my mind lately. Ever since I've been watching the show when it first aired in October 2010, I've become a fan of both heroes on the show because of how awesome and appealing they are. Even though a lot of people prefer Kitty Katswell as the main character of the show because of her being much smarter and a lot more mature than Dudley Puppy (not to mention gorgeous), I actually find him to be just as great because even though Dudley is a fun-loving guy who tends to act like a child most of the time, he's also one of those heroes with a heart that's a lot bigger than his brain (both figuratively and literally). I remember saying quite a few times that Dudley and Kitty usually make a cute couple, which some of my friends are able to agree, despite the fact they're a dog and cat respectively. But lately, though, I've just been able to see them as a pair of really close friends who are able to help each other out instead of an actual couple. I guess that all started after watching the episode "Til Doom Does Us Apart", which has become my least favorite episode of the series after being able to see it on Nicktoons Network not too long ago; Dudley and Kitty didn't even act like themselves at all in this episode, especially because all they did was fight and argue nonstop for no actual reason, which made both characters unappealing to me. I mean, I was okay with seeing Dudley and Kitty fight briefly in some episodes like "Doom-mates" and "Shair-A-Lair", but they haven't actually fought with each other that much throughout the rest of series, and there are actually quite a few moments where we get to see Dudley and Kitty hugging each other as well. The way I see it, Dudley and Kitty tend to get along fairly well with each other whenever they do work together as a team and/or help each other get out of a perilous situation before defeating the bad guys in each episode. Even if I don't really see Dudley and Kitty as a cute couple that much anymore, I would still enjoy seeing them as a pair of awesome heroes who actually do care for each other as partners.

Here is a review that I did of the game "New Super Mario Bros. 2" on the Nintendo 3DS, which I was able to beat just recently, and I decided to write a review about it afterwards. Even though this game is actually the third title of the "New Super Mario Bros." series to come out on Nintendo's game consoles (following "New Super Mario Bros. Wii" on the Nintendo Wii), it was the second game to be released on a handheld system, which makes it kind of a predecessor to the first game that originally came out on the Nintendo DS. The first game was fairly good in my opinion, but I actually found the other games to be even more enjoyable with some additional gameplay features as well as useful power-ups. I haven't actually been able to check out the newer ones to come out on the Nintendo Wii U ("New Super Mario Bros. U" and "New Super Luigi U") mainly because I don't have that console yet, but I'll be sure to add them to my collection whenever I get one for myself.

Anyway, the plot for "New Super Mario Bros. 2" is pretty similar to that of the previous game: Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser's Koopalings (Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig), and it's up to Mario and Luigi to rescue her and defeat Bowser. What makes this game so special in the series happens to be its gameplay - Not only do you have to clear each level by simply getting to the flagpole end, but you also have to try to collect as many coins as you can, which happens to be the main highlight of this game. Other than beating levels in the game, the player's other main goal is to collect a total of 1,000,000 coins; This isn't exactly an easy accomplishment, but it's sure to keep all players busy, even after being able to clear the last level of the game. There are several ways you can collect the coins in each level, which include: finding hidden paths containing coins, hitting large blocks that can give you 5-50 coins, attacking gold enemies (some of which that can leave trails of coins such as Gold Koopa Troopas and Gold Bullet Bills), and attacking enemies with gold fireballs as Gold Mario (a new power form of Mario that is introduced in this game).

Next, I'd like to talk about the power-ups that are featured in the game, which are usually different in each title. As you would probably guess, the standard three power-ups are featured in the game as always: the Super Mushroom (which turns Mario into Super Mario, allowing him to break blocks and withstand an enemy attack), the Fire Flower (which turns Mario into Fire Mario, allowing him to attack enemies by tossing fireballs), and the Starman (which makes Mario invincible for a short period of time). The power-ups that return from previous games are: the Mega Mushroom from "New Super Mario Bros." (which turns Mario into Mega Mario, allowing him to destroy all enemies and obstacles in his path by simply marching over them in his gigantic size) and the ever-popular Super Leaf from "Super Mario Bros. 3" (which turns Mario into Raccoon Mario, allowing him to attack his enemies by swinging his tail and he also has the ability to fly for a short period of time). And finally, a couple of the newer power-ups that are featured in the game are: the Gold Block (which Mario wears over his head like a mask and it gives him coins for a short period of time as long as he doesn't get attacked) and the Gold Flower (which turns Mario into Gold Mario, allowing him to attack enemies with gold fireballs that can also turn blocks into coins).

Overall, this game is definitely one of the best Mario games to play on the Nintendo 3DS, though I have heard that many people claim that "Super Mario 3D Land" is just as great. In case anybody's wondering, I was actually able to play this game on a Nintendo 2DS, which plays 3DS games in 2D only, and since there aren't too many features in the game that need to be shown in 3D, that makes it a suitable title for such a system. Because I've always been such a fan of the Mario games as long as I could remember, I highly recommend it to any gamer who still enjoys playing 2D-style platformers as much as I do.

As everyone may already know, my birthday was this Tuesday, and I've decided to post this journal entry to explain how my birthday went recently. First of all, I would just like to thank all my friends who were able to wish me a Happy Birthday as well as draw something as a gift for me, which definitely put me in a happy mood after being able to check my messages the other day. I was able to spend the rest of my day taking it easy at home by ordering a pizza and eating some cake that my mother decided to bake for me, and she also gave me a funny birthday card with $40 as a gift from her. Even though I didn't really do anything too exciting on the day of my birthday, I was actually able to spend last Saturday with my father and stepmother by going out to eat at a buffet restaurant called Golden Corral for lunch and buying a couple of new games for my Nintendo 2DS; The games that I bought recently were "New Super Mario Bros. 2" and "Sonic Lost World", which I might be able to give reviews for in later journal entries. This Saturday, my sister and her boyfriend we able to take me out for my birthday by going out to eat at another restaurant called Moonlite Bar-B-Q, and I also did a little shopping at the mall, where I bought a couple of new caps to wear. Needless to say, this has been one of the best birthdays that I've been able to celebrate so far, and I'm really glad that I have so many friends and family to help celebrate my birthday with me as well.

It's kinda hard to believe, but 2013 has officially come to an end, and I've decided to post this journal entry explaining about how my year went before I actually start fresh in 2014. As you would probably guess, I was able to spend much of the year drawing cartoons for all my friends and everyone else here on deviantART, and I received a lot of kind and honest feedback from everyone who really enjoy checking out my artwork, which actually helps me feel inspired to continue drawing. Though there were moments in which I've felt jealous for not getting as much attention as I deserved for my talented work, I try not to let my emotions get the better of me like they have been recently, and I'm just hoping that it doesn't happen to me as much in the following year. I should actually be lucky to have so many friends on here who are always so understanding and supportive, and they're able to give me helpful advice when I really need it, especially if I'm starting to feel left out in some way. Because I'm so grateful to have many friends and watchers, I was actually thinking of doing something really nice for the upcoming year... I've decided that I could do requests for free every once in while, but only for the users whom I consider to be my friends after being able to get to know them for quite some time. Of course, what I'd really like to do is participate in any collaboration projects with anyone who is interested, since I did enjoy being able to do a few of them with a couple of my friends this year; Whether it involves me drawing pictures or writing a story, anybody could just let me know, and I'll be sure to see what I can do as long as I'm not working on something else. Needless to say, my birthday also happens to be this month, and it won't be long before I turn 28 on January 28 as well. In the meantime, though, I would also like to share some of my personal favorite pictures that I've done for 2013, which everyone is more than welcome to comment and fav. Thank you, and Happy New Year as well!

I am posting this quick journal entry to let my friends know what I've been up to during Christmas this year. I was able to receive some very good gifts from my family, even if I didn't get exactly what I wanted this Christmas. The things that I was able to get for Christmas this year included a few new t-shirts, a couple new pairs of blue jeans, a Superman wrist-watch, and a copy of "The Big Bang Theory: The Complete 2nd Season" on DVD (which happens to be a TV show that I just started enjoying recently after my father and stepmother helped me get into it). I didn't get any new video games this Christmas, but I did get a gift card for Game Stop worth $100, which I can then use to buy a few new games for myself. After we opened gifts that morning, my family and I were able to head out to my grandparent's place for Christmas dinner, and we also did a little gift exchange that involves exchanging random gifts with anybody, which I was able to receive a battery charger that I'm sure to put to use for my game controllers that use batteries and the like. Even though Christmas Day has come and gone for this year, I still have a couple of holiday-themed pictures that I'll be able to post on here soon, including a picture that I did for New Year's Day 2014. Other than that, I hope that all my friends were able to have a very Merry Christmas this year, and I would also love to hear how everyone's holiday season has turned out as well.

As I'm writing this journal entry that I've decided to post, I can now say that I am officially done with drawing Christmas-themed pictures for this year. I just completed the last picture in my set of Christmas artwork not too long ago, and I should now get to work on my pictures that I plan on posting for next month as well, including pictures for some of my friends whose birthdays are in January (other than mine, of course). I would have completed my artwork much sooner, but I've been dealing with some issues involving my inner demons and a faulty computer mouse, which made it kind of difficult for me to complete my pictures without worrying so much like I have been recently. Luckily for me, I was able to handle much of these problems either on my own or with a little help from my friends, and I managed to finish my artwork just in time for the holiday season.

On another topic, I was able to go out and see the Disney animated movie "Frozen" in theaters with my aunt last Sunday, and I never got a chance to tell anyone until just now. Because of the heavy snowfall we've been having last weekend here in Indiana, I was in the mood for going to see this movie for myself, especially after hearing everyone else say how good it is (other than the fact it was made by the creators of "Wreck-It Ralph", an awesome movie). The movie itself was really nice and charming, especially when shown in 3D, and it actually put me in kind of a good mood after being able to see it with my aunt; I was even inspired to draw a picture of my original character, Whitnee Squirrel, dressed up like Queen Elsa, which I actually plan on coloring after scanning it onto my computer. I also liked the Mickey Mouse cartoon short that was shown at the beginning of the movie, which was quite hilarious, and totally worth watching in 3D. If you haven't been able to see the movie yet, I would recommend seeing it while it's still in theaters, especially during the wintertime.

In case anybody has been wondering what I've been up to lately, I was able to spend Thanksgiving on Thursday with my family like I usually do every year. We had ourselves a big feast with more than enough food to eat, we were able to play a few board games together, and then we'd pick out names for our annual gift-exchange that we do each year for Christmas afterwards. Even though I had such a really good time with my family, I've actually started feeling a bit depressed later on that evening and throughout much of yesterday; As a result, I hardly got any sleep at all that night, and it wasn't until four in the morning when I was finally able to get some sleep. One of the main causes of my recent depression would have to be of me trying to focus on my newer artwork that I've been trying to complete in time for Christmas this year. Because of how depressed I was, I didn't even feel like wanting to continue drawing my pictures after coming home at around eight o' clock that evening, but I did try to play some video games to see if that would help ease up my depression. Needless to say, I've also been dealing with the same kind of stress that I've experienced the past few times, which has actually made my depression feel even more unpleasant than it already was. I began to feel quite lonely and empty on the inside, and I decided to spend my afternoon yesterday chatting with some my friends on Skype using my smartphone. After being able to hear from my friends recently, I didn't feel too sad or miserable anymore, and I was able to get through the rest of my day just fine.

Now that I'm starting to feel a little better, I should at least try to focus on a couple of important issues I'd like to discuss with everyone that involves my newer artwork I've been posting on deviantART. For example, I've felt like such an idiot for always expecting to hear from certain friends whenever I post my latest artwork for the day; I completely understand that my friends really do like my cartoon artwork so much, and I shouldn't force them to check out a new picture I've done just so I could hear what they think of it (including any pictures that I've done of my original characters that I like to draw all the time, such as Whitnee Squirrel and Goldie Fox). I should also keep in mind that if I do want to chat with any of my friends on here, I shouldn't be afraid to let them know by either sending them a note or posting a friendly comment on their profile page. In a way, I'm actually quite grateful to have so many good friends on deviantART who have all been so kind and understanding to me, especially if I've had something on my mind that's been troubling me. In fact, I would also like to take this moment to say thanks to all my dA friends who are able to help me become who I am today. Even though I actually have a lot more friends other than the ones I listed, these are just some my friends that I feel like wanting give my special thanks for being so awesome to me (in no particular order):

I am posting this journal entry to let my friends know that I actually feel kind of anxious about the question that was featured in my latest poll topic, which had to do with peer pressure. It may have been a question that I was most curious to ask my friends on here, but I was also dealing with a bit of stress at the time of when I posted it. Lately, I've been kind of wondering what everyone actually thinks of my original characters that I've been drawing for quite a while, since I feel like I've been doing a lot of fan art pictures to appeal to everyone who has the same interests as me, which probably isn't enough for an aspiring cartoon artist such as myself. Whenever I draw the pictures involving my original characters (not just fan characters such as Abby The Squirrel and the "T.U.F.F. Puppy" version of Whitnee), I try to make each character unique so that anyone who checks out my cartoon artwork will find them to be quite appealing. Needless to say, a lot of my artwork actually involves anthro animal characters, which I've always loved drawing as long as I could remember.

Even though many of my friends on here have given me some helpful advice about feeling left out or even being discouraged about not having my artwork being noticed by certain people, I still tend to worry when it comes to not being able to hear from my friends when I need to tell them something. I guess you can say that I've had such an unnecessary habit of expecting to hear from my friends, especially when I'm able to post a certain picture that everyone else might like, which is actually a weakness for me. I should also let my friends know that I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings in any way if I seem a little clingy towards them; It's just that I sometimes desire attention of the friends whom I feel like wanting to chat with, that's all. I know that even if I'm not able to hear from friends right away, I'm pretty sure that they're able to understand one way or another.

I think I should also let my friends know that my birthday is coming up in about a couple of months from now, and I'm actually kind of anxious to ask some of my friends if they could draw something as a gift for me on the big day. One particular artist that I am most anxious to ask for something is :iconjohnd-art:, since he was able to draw some really awesome artwork for my friends :iconshinragod: and :icontuffandtmnt:, and I just didn't want to think that I'll be the odd man out if he's unable to do so; I've never really been good at ask for anything, mainly because I'm afraid of being told "no". Even though I have a couple of months before my birthday, I probably shouldn't be able to worry about something like this, just as long as my friends are always here by my side.

I've been in kind of an emotional rut for some reason lately, and it's actually been affecting my mood to draw as well. I have a bunch of Christmas pictures that I need to complete by the end of the month, including the Christmas-themed requests for twelve of my friends that I've decided to work on. However, I was kind of expecting a much better turnout after letting everyone know about me being able to accept twelve requests for about a week, since some of the friends I was expecting to draw pictures for haven't been able to respond to my journal entry; And also, some of the pictures I've been asked to draw this time are like curve-balls to me. For this reason, I've decided to not accept anymore requests at this time. Here is a list of people that I've decided to draw Christmas-themed pictures for this year, in no particular order:

:iconmizzgenk: - ED and Whitnee Squirrel wrapping Christmas presents
:iconwolf492: - Clara Wolf giving a present to Skyler Fox
:iconkoleyl: - Sheeba Saber dressed up like an angel singing Christmas songs
:iconlouiseugeniojr: - Casey Squirrel and Lois (NOT Louis) Squirrel under mistletoe
:icontuffandtmnt: - Kitty Katswell, Allison Retriever, Whitnee Squirrel, and Lady Malmsteen wrapped up like Christmas presents
:iconkbafourthtime: - Kirianna Lion, Gillian Doggy, and Geoffrey Doggy decorating a small tree outside together
:iconchipmunkraccoon2: - Eleanor and Theodore with Christmas cookies
:iconmintymousyxfce: - Parisa in a Christmas outfit
:iconkidokoala: - Noel The Holiday Spirit
:iconacpaws: - Francine, Agent S, and Chrissy celebrating Christmas
:iconshinragod: - Sharon and her Pokemon celebrating Christmas
:iconmasterghostunlimited: - Kitty Katswell and Lotus Fox celebrating Christmas

There are a few other pictures I haven't listed that I might be able to draw as well, but I'm still hoping that some of my other friends will be able to ask me to draw something for them before the holiday season comes and goes this year. Because of how I'm feeling lately, I probably won't be able to post any new artwork until tomorrow, and I might need to take a few days off for the next couple of weeks in order to work on the pictures that need to be done.

Now that Halloween is officially over, I would like to announce that I will be accepting Christmas-themed art requests for twelve of my friends here on deviantART, which will also be counted as gifts that I'll be posting for the next month as well. In case anybody is wondering, I am still drawing pictures for point commissions and/or art trades; I am only able to accept requests for this time so I can do something special for my friends this holiday season. Anyway, I've decided to take the opportunity to work on my Christmas artwork a little early this year so that I can focus on everything else going on while keeping myself busy in November. If you have multiple ideas for Christmas-themed pictures that you'd like me to draw for you, please feel free to list them when you post a comment on here, and I'll be able to choose the one I like most, since I'll only be able to draw one picture per friend (total 12). Thank you, and happy drawing!

RULES FOR REQUESTS
1. I can only draw one picture per friend.
2. I do not draw pictures that involve sexual content and/or graphic nudity.
3. I do not draw pictures that involve characters being killed in a hateful manner.
4. I am okay with drawing pictures of fan characters as long as they're affiliated with something that I really enjoy.
5. I am not interested in drawing characters from shows/movies/games/etc. that I don't care for at all (such as "Naruto", "My Little Pony", and the Archie Comics version of "Sonic The Hedgehog").
6. I don't really like to draw anthro characters that are animals with horns and/or hooves (such as cows, horses, goats, and deer).
7. When asking me to draw an original character that I haven't seen before, please show me a detailed reference of that character so that I can know how to draw him/her.
8. I enjoy drawing pictures involving my original characters (such as Whitnee Squirrel and Goldie Fox) with other original characters that are created by other artists.
9. I prefer to draw pictures that are appropriate for most ages, so please don't ask me for anything dirty.
10. I am willing to draw any kind of picture as long as it's nothing too complex; Anything that's quick and easy for me to work on will be just fine as well.

As everyone may already know, Halloween is coming up very soon, and I've decided to take the opportunity to talk about something rather fitting that's actually been on my mind lately: Villain characters from Disney animated movies who end up dead in the movies they appeared in. There were quite a few villain characters in the Disney animated movies over the years that we see getting destroyed and/or killed in some way, and I've decided make a Top 10 list of the Disney villain deaths that I actually liked the most. I should warn you that there may be spoilers for those who have never seen any of the movies that I'm about to mention on the list. Other than that, please sit back and enjoy...

MY TOP 10 DISNEY VILLAIN DEATHS

#10 - Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty" - I've decided to start off the list with a villain death that doesn't exactly have anything too exciting happening, but it's cool to watch nonetheless. In this movie, Maleficent is able to use her magic to transform herself into an evil-looking black dragon in an effort to destroy the prince once and for all. The prince is able to attack by hurling his magic sword directly at Maleficent's chest, stabbing her to death. I don't really have much to say about this Disney villain death except that it's a pretty simple way for any character to die, and I think it's fair that I was able to include it on the list for sure.

#9 - Percival McLeach from "The Rescuers Down Under" - This next villain death is one that many people don't seem to talk about that often, and I've decided to include it on the list because of the movie being one of my favorites that I've enjoyed since I was a kid. Anyway, what happens in the movie is Percival McLeach and his pet lizard, Joanna, end up falling into the river, where they almost get attacked by crocodiles; McLeach was able to fend off the crocodiles by hitting them with his rifle as Joanna swims back to shore safely. The crocodiles were able to leave him alone shortly after, and he thinks that he was able to beat them single-handedly, only to find out that he was actually heading for the edge of the waterfall. McLeach then tried to swim for all his might, but he ends up plummeting down the waterfall, and he is never seen or heard from again.

#8 - King Candy (AKA Turbo) from "Wreck-It Ralph" - Even though this is a movie that has come out about a year ago, I could not resist mentioning it on the list because of it being such an awesome movie that's worth talking about, and what happens to the villain towards the end is just as cool. Anyway, the hero of the movie, Wreck-It Ralph, is able to destroy all the Cybugs that have invaded Sugar Rush by causing the diet cola mountain to erupt, which acted as beacon to lure the Cybugs in and vaporize them just like in Hero's Duty. The movie's villain, King Candy (AKA Turbo, his true persona), who was now a Cybug himself, also became affected by the beacon and ended up being pulled towards it against his will; And because he was never part of the game that he tried to take over, he would never be able to regenerate after being vaporized at the end.

#7 - Hopper from "A Bug's Life" - In case anybody is wondering, many people actually do consider the Pixar animated movies to be counted as part of the library of Disney animated movies, and I was able to include a couple of villains from those movies on the list as well. In this movie I've included on the list, Hopper was about to finish off the hero, Flik, after being defeated by him and his friends, but then he ends up coming face-to-face with a large bird; At first, he wasn't afraid because he thought it was another fake that was used to scare him and his gang of grasshoppers, only to find out that it was the real thing. He tried to make a run for it, but the bird was able to catch him with its beak and carry him over to a nest of chirping baby birds, which devour him until he's a goner.

#6 - Dr. Facilier from "The Princess And The Frog" - Some people may not actually consider what happens to the villain in this movie as a 'death', but I've decided to include it on the list anyway because of it being a really cool part after seeing the movie myself. After Tiana (who was still in her frog form in this scene) is able to destroy Dr. Facilier's magic talisman, the voodoo spirits from the underworld show up and take his soul as 'payment' for the now-destroyed voodoo charm. As you could tell, Facilier was completely helpless as he was being pulled to the shadowy underworld by his own shadow, and shortly after we see him disappear, we see his face engraved out of stone on a wall with his name engraved next to it. It is unknown if Facilier actually is dead, but we know for sure that his soul is pretty much trapped in the shadowy underworld for all eternity, whether he likes it or not.

#5 - Syndrome from "The Incredibles" - Here is another villain character from a Pixar animated movie that I was able to include on the list, and what happens to him is probably unexpected by most people who were able to see the movie for the first time. As Syndrome was trying to fly away in his personal jet after being defeated by the Parrs, Mr. Incredible was able to hurl his car directly at the jet, causing it to crash down in a fiery explosion. But before that happened, though, Syndrome actually ended up landing in one of the turbine engines of his jet; He frantically tries to get away from the blades of the turbine, but his cape gets snagged and he is then pulled into the engine, presumably chopping him to bits before he was blown to smithereens.

#4 - Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" - Now here is another death in which the villain dies in a kind of gruesome manner, even for a Disney animated movie with a G-rating. Right when Ursula in her giant form is about to finish off Ariel with her father's trident, Prince Eric was able to take control of one of the wrecked ships that rose from the sea and he steers it directly towards Ursula, stabbing her in the abdomen. In a freak coincidence, a bolt of lightning from the storm also ended up hitting her shortly after, and she was practically fried to death in the process. Can you say "fried calamari"? Sure, you can...

#3 - Scar from "The Lion King" - As everyone may already know, "The Lion King" is considered one of the best Disney-animated movies ever made in the 1990s, and what happens to Simba's villainous uncle towards the end is quite memorable as well. Shortly after losing the fight against his nephew at Pride Rock, Scar was able to meet up with his hyena cohorts, who actually turn against him because of how hungry they really were (and also, Scar lied about them being his enemies so that Simba would leave him alone). As the hyenas started moving closer towards him, Scar became completely helpless before they attacked him, thus putting him out of his misery as the fires around them rose higher.

#2 - Clayton from "Tarzan" - Even though this movie doesn't exactly get as much attention as most of the other ones that came out before it, it is still a really great Disney animated movie to watch, and it even features a death scene that some people might find a bit surprising because of what happens to the villain at the end. In the scene, Clayton is seen furiously cutting himself out of the vines that he's tangled up in while using a machete, which he was also using to attack Tarzan. During the process, Clayton hardly noticed the vine that was wrapped around his neck, and right when he was about to get himself free, he ended up losing his footing as he started falling from a great height. Before he could even hit the ground, though, the vine that was still around his neck yanked so tightly that he practically hung to death. Needless to say, we actually get a glimpse of his now-lifeless body just as the lightning flashes.

#1 - The Queen from "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs" - I'm sure a lot of people who have been reading this list from the beginning were kinda expecting this classic Disney villain death to be listed on here, and I decided to feature it on the top of my list because of it being one of the best Disney villain death scenes of all time, and it was also the very first one to be made as well. After the Queen, who has used her magic to turn herself into an ugly old woman, was able to trick Snow White into biting a poison apple, she then gets chased by the seven dwarfs who arrived to stop her. She ends up getting chased all the way to the edge of a very high cliff, where she becomes trapped. Not giving up without a fight, the Queen is then able to take a tree trunk and wedge it into a large boulder in an effort to take out the seven dwarfs; When she was about to do so, however, a bolt of lightning hits the edge of the cliff she was standing on, causing the Queen to plummet to her death. Needless to say, the boulder she tried to push ended up falling towards her afterwards, which meant that if falling off the cliff doesn't kill her, the boulder will. :evillaugh:

I have decided to post this quick journal entry to let my friends know that I now officially own a Nintendo 2DS and a copy of "Pokemon Y" to play. Even though I originally planned on getting a Nintendo 3DS after pre-ordering a copy of the game at a local Game Stop before it came out, I actually decided to get myself a Nintendo 2DS instead because of it being a newer version of the 3DS that is much more affordable; While it's not capable of playing games in 3D like its original counterpart, the Nintendo 2DS can still play all the games for the Nintendo 3DS as well as the games for the Nintendo DS, which is all that mattered most to me because of all the great games that I kinda missed out on upon the system's release.

Anyway, I was able to begin playing my copy of "Pokemon Y" not too long ago, and I really enjoyed it after beginning my adventure. Like all the other new Pokemon games in the series, there are newer Pokemon to catch and train in addition to some of the Pokemon from previous games that return, and there's also a new Pokemon type featured in game, Fairy, which I have yet to figure out the strengths and weakness of on my own. In case anybody's wondering, the Pokemon that I chose to start off with is the grass-type Pokemon, Chespin (even though I did plan on starting off with the fire-type Pokemon, Finnekin, like everyone else). So far, I was able to win my first Pokemon Gym Badge, and I'm currently in the middle of trying to get my second Badge. After playing again recently, I was also able to receive a Torchic via the internet (which has now evolved into a Combusken), and I got to choose Squirtle as my Pokemon that was given to me by Professor Sycamore, since I've always enjoyed picking it as my favorite starter Pokemon in the older games. If anyone is interested in trading and/or battling Pokemon with me, I would gladly exchange my Friend Code with anyone who has a Nintendo 3DS. Thank you, and happy gaming! :pokeball:

Just recently, I was able to download my very first game that I purchased for playing on my Xbox 360 that I bought almost a couple of months ago. I actually had kind of a difficult time trying to set up an account for Xbox Live, but after being able to figure out what to do on my own (which took almost a couple of hours, I might add), I was finally able to get on track and redeem the points needed to purchase downloadable games. And so, I decided to download the first game that was on my mind - "DuckTales: Remastered", which I was able to do a short review for as well.

Almost immediately after downloading this game, I was able to play it for the first time, and it turned out to be just as awesome as I had hoped. As every gamer would probably know, "DuckTales: Remastered" is basically a remade version of the NES game based on the Disney cartoon series "DuckTales", which was made by Capcom, who was known for making great Disney video games back in the day. In this version of the game, the graphics consist of hand-drawn character sprites in 3D-styled environments, which look incredibly nice and amazing for a game that is based on an old cartoon series that I still remember watching as a kid; You might even say that the graphics almost make the game feel like an interactive cartoon because of how they look. Since this game is a remade version of the NES classic, it also features the same control mechanics that allow players to take control of Scrooge McDuck just like in the original game, such as being able to attack enemies by using his cane as pogo stick and/or golf club. Much of the music that is featured in the game consists of remade versions of tracks from the NES game, which are really nice and pleasing to listen to as you play the game. Needless to say, the game also features voice-acting from some of the original cast of "DuckTales" who appear in the game, including Alan Young (as Scrooge McDuck), Russi Taylor (as Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby), and Frank Welker (as BigTime Beagle, Baggy Beagle, and Bubba The Caveduck). Because I didn't want to play through the entire game on my first try, I decided to play at least two of the stages in the game (namely, Transylvania and The Himalayas) before finding a suitable place to stop. One thing I feel like pointing out in this game is when you play it for the first time, you actually start off at an introduction stage that takes place inside Scrooge's money bin, complete with booby traps and Beagle Boys; You even get to fight a boss at the end, which is actually pretty amusing for a boss fight, and I think everyone who's able to check out the game should be able to see it for themselves without me spoiling too much. Other than that, "DuckTales: Remastered" is a game that is definitely worth downloading on any of the systems it's available for, whether you're a die-hard fan of old-school video games or a die-hard fan of classic Disney cartoon shows from yesteryear.

First of all, I would love to thank all my friends and watchers who were able to check out the artwork I've done involving the new "T.U.F.F. Puppy" villains that I recently created, and I really appreciate all the friendly comments I received for each picture as well. After being able to draw several pictures involving an alternate version of my original character, Whitnee Squirrel, whom I was able to create as a completely different character in the world of "T.U.F.F. Puppy" (almost like what Capcom did with the many different versions of Mega Man over the years), I decided to take the opportunity to create some newer characters of my own, especially when trying to live up to the hype like all my other friends, including :icontuffandtmnt: and :iconshinragod:, without me feeling left out in some way. Lately, though, I've been kind of hoping that my friends would also be able to do some fan art involving any of the character(s) that I created so far, which I think could also help me feel a little more confident after dealing with some emotional issues not too long ago. Other than that, I'm just glad I have friends who always look up to me and show their support for me whenever I have anything I'd like share with them.

I would also like to announce that I am about to work on some Halloween-themed artwork that I plan to get done in time for Halloween this year. Instead of drawing individual pictures of each character in a different Halloween costume like I did the last couple of years for Halloween, I will probably be able to draw some group pictures involving two or more characters doing things together while dressed up for Halloween, and I'd also like to work on some similar fan art involving the characters from my favorite TV shows and/or video games. If my timing is just right, I might be able to work on a set of newer pictures involving my original character, Betty Bat (who would actually be suitable for such a holiday, for obvious reasons). If anyone can help me think of any Halloween costumes that I could draw my characters wearing, I would really appreciate any suggestions nonetheless.
