I'm having a bit of trouble involving my drawing skills that I feel like wanting to discuss with my friends right now. I'm sure that everyone knows that Halloween is only a couple of weeks from now, and I'm still trying to work on a set of pictures that I'd like to post all week for Halloween, including a picture to celebrate Lady Malmsteen's birthday that happens to take place on Halloween. Just recently, however, I haven't had much inspiration to continue working on anymore pictures that I planned on drawing to celebrate Halloween for some strange reason... One thing that I planned on drawing as mentioned in one of my previous journal entries was a set of pictures that would involve my original characters all dressed up as video game characters at a Halloween party, but I've actually been kind of struggling try to figure out how to draw all my characters in more than picture, and trying to draw the styles of each character's costume has left me feeling kinda burnt as well. In case anybody's wondering how I'm able to draw all the time, all of my pictures that I post here on deviantART are originally drawn with pencil and pen on standard pieces of computer paper (8.5" x 11"), which I then upload onto my computer with a scanner and I'm able to color and shade each picture using a picture-editing program such as "Paint Shop Pro X"; It actually takes about an hour for me to draw a picture despite how simple-looking my cartoon style is, and that usually depends on what it is I'm drawing for each picture. Believe me, I really do try my hardest to make my caroon artwork look quite noticable and appealing to just about everyone I know, but sometimes I wonder if that isn't quite enough for a simple guy like myself... After all, each time I post a new picture, I kind of hope that I would get a little something in return. For example, I think gift art from all my friends who really enjoy checking out my artwork always makes me feel inspired to continue drawing, and I always hope that at least one person is able to give me something for doing such a great job on what I want to do for a living, especially when I see some of my other friends doing the same thing by doing gift art for other friends that I know, and then I start to feel left out like some kind of unappreciated sidekick. Well, I've been getting kind of tired of always feeling that way almost all the time, especially whenever I decide to take a day off dA like I did yesterday, and I could really use some support (and maybe some more gift art) from all my friends so I may continue with my artwork in time for Halloween this year. If anyone is accepting art trades and/or requests, please do not hesistate to let me know; Otherwise, I don't know what else I can do if I'm unable to continue drawing...

"What I want to do for a living." Dude your 28! You should be doing this as a career right NOW. Plus you shouldn't rely on other people to feel passionate, just fucking do IT! Plus if I were you I would take my passion and try to make income off of it. This book helped alot in figuring that out www.amazon.com/Think-Grow-Rich…
